Tried this place for the first time and it was delicious. Ordered the Villa Special (Hong Kong Style) fried noodle and the No. 1 combo plate. Definitely will come again after shipping at the Eco Thrift Store

As someone visiting the city, I wanted to try something new, and this place gave me an authentic taste of the Philippines. The staff explained the ingredients and even told stories behind the dishes. I had laing and lumpia, and both were delicious beyond expectation. The setting felt cultural and welcoming, with traditional décor that added to the experience.

This place has been around for decades and is consistently good, offering good Filipino cuisine at reasonable prices and large portions. The Fried Chicken is must try.

We brought the whole family, kids included, and the staff treated us like old friends. They made sure the little ones had smaller plates and extra rice without us asking. The kare-kare was rich and comforting, while the lumpia disappared from the table almost instantly. The restaurant had a lively, family-friendly feel with laughter and bright colors everywhere.

I give a one star only for public health concerns regarding the homeless occupants that roam inside. A co worker and I sat yesterday (ordered from here prior) and there was a man that came in with fever, coughing and instructing the host to recommend a soup for his Fever. Stating “I want a soup for my fever.” after the server begin to recommend items the man interrupted him and said “no, I want soup for my fever.” As uncomfortable as I was sitting directly in front of him, I was more concerned with the child that was nearby, whose mother got up and moved them.

I am all for feeding all of Gods people. However, in such a compacted environment with others around poses a safety risk. This is how even Covid spreads and other diseases. I mean a common cold is inevitable during this time of year but a Fever and he was an older man. After my co worker became very uncomfortable we decided to take our food to go mid eating.

In this situation there should have been options. Simply letting him know that he could be served but in an isolated area or To-go. After he mentioned having a fever twice, that should have been an indicator to move your guest, politely enforce departure or another seat. Placing him directly near others, coughing the way he was, was very ill mannered. Today I woke up not feeling too well and I hope for my sake it is not something I contracted from this experience. I do not post this to deter people away because I do feel the people that run this place are beautiful people at heart, that have always been so kind but a reminder to keep your guest safe at all costs. The food was delicious. We just won’t recommend our department to eat in person, as we serve the community as well and understand these things happen.

I was in a crunch and and needed to order lumpia for a wedding. The lumpia was superb. The place was clean. The staff was nice. Will go again for a sit down meal. Here is a pic of what’s left over. I order 200 pcs. Sorry I meant to take a pic and it came with sauce

Best Filipino restaurants in Sacramento!

My family and I have been coming to South Villa for at least 10 years. The food is the closest thing to going back home to the Philippines.

Few favorites (off the top of my head): Laing, chop suey, crispy pata, sinigang na baboy, pancit, many more. They have a great varity to suit the whole families taste buds.
