We arrived, were seated and then no one came to bring water or coffee. Once a server arrived she seemed irritated to wait on us and then when we didn’t order food with the water she was huffy. When the actual server arrived she was pleasant and attentive. Food was good, I had the 4 veggies for $7.99, and the table also ordered fried chicken livers and pot roast, and the meal I ordered for the dogs was greatly appreciated.

Because of homelessness, I haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel in almost 12 years. The last one was in Fort Myers Florida while we were on vacation.

So this was a delicious reunion. Annie my server is pleasant, diligent, helpful, and very friendly.

I had the campfire shrimp skillet for the first time and I know I’m going to order it again. As with all Cracker Barrels, the atmosphere was down-right homey.

Went to eat at cracker barrel in Paducah KY and had the best service tonight. Jackson K was so outgoing and on top of everything from the time we sat and ordered our food to receiving our food etc. Our cups never got low and he was so outgoing and friendly. He is exactly all of what a server should be. He cut up and really shows that he cares about who he serves. We will definitely be back if he is serving.

Was one of the last customers in the restaurant, plus we bought some stuff in the store the girl behind the register was well complaining to me, yeah, they we’re closed 40 minutes ago I guess I could have let her pay for my bill. Since she wanted to go home and not make money at work. Young people has no work ethics . I should have taken my tip back . I wouldn’t have tipped if I knew the way her attitude would have been checking out.

COVID… more than just a nasty illness. It has affected everything, including great dining experiences.

Anticipated a bit of a wait (Saturday night), but after about 22 minutes we were seated. Took a moment to look over the ‘new’ offerings. I still cannot wrap my head around alcohol & Cracker Barrell. It might be a great thing for their bottom line, but seems incongruous with their theme.
Ordered some old standbys, and after 10-15 minutes, our waitress (who had already announced she was new when I asked a menu question), stopped by to inform us all the kitchen staff were ‘brand new’ and had been behind all night. Our meal would now be @ least 15 more minutes.
She was great about asking (and mostly keeping up) with our requests (refills, etc).
My husband got the fried fish and it was dark brown and very tough. Had to ask for his side of hushpuppies, as well as our cornbread. And he had to make a last minute substitute for his beloved dumplings as they had ‘run out’.
I ordered the house salad as part of my meal, which came to the table with my meal. My meatloaf was not attractive, nor was my other side items. The pintos still had a good taste, and the meatloaf was edible even though I would not give it a rave review. I did comment to my husband the recipe for the carrots must have changed, because they did not taste like I remembered.
We also noticed the table next to us left quite a bit of food on their plates (not hungry? Not tasty?). I did have to ask for coffee because I was cold, although in fairness the weather has been erratic and the Temps go up & down.

Overall, I think the waitress did fair and the chefs have a way to go.
It might be a bit before I go back, but with today’s economy & market, will probably be on the 3rd or 4th set of ‘new’ people…. is it impolite to ask the tenure of staff (including kitchen) before you decide to dine?

Great experience. Our server was on spot. Friendly & efficient without being intrusive. Our house salads were perfection in a bowl, our bacon was still warm-that is the sign of fresh made.
Tried the pork chops for the first time, left with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch.

Good food and always great service. Went for breakfast around 10:30 and sat rite down. Food came out in a decent time after ordering it. Server was great with a big smile each time she came to the table.

Our server was great. I wish I could remember her name. Refills always there. Brought all the missing items. Food took almost an hour and a half to cook for a party of five. Cracker Barrel’s look and decor is the same it’s always been. Cluttered old timey farm antique shop slash diner. Nothing to be impressed by. But this was one of the worst experiences in meals we’ve had since coming back after they have reduced and changed their menus and food options. Before you’d have almost three menus. A breakfast, lunch, or dinner menu. Now it’s all one. I ordered the Home style chicken and French toast. On the menu and website it looks to be a chicken patty breaded and deep fried with 3 sliced in half French toasted slices of bread. Mine was two chicken tenders (they tasted fine) and what tasted and looked to be some premade frozen bread like gummy substitute. Those tasted horrible. I’d almost bet money they’re frozen and nuked before hitting my plate. Before the French toast on either side would fit together showing that normal bread shape. I had what looked to be like rounded pancakes and triangle slices. None of which fit together. Not sure what it was to be honest. On the pluses. Beer was ok. $3.99 for a can of Miller lite seems excessive. Especially when it’s $0.69 a can from a 30 pack from the store. Won’t be back for a while if not at all. Seriously. This food isn’t that hard to make.
