A lady friend and I went for lunch at 1 pm today..quaint and relaxing..no loud music so easy to visit..fast, pleasant service. She had to be patient with us while we took time to choose our pizza selections; she was. Also enjoyed a kids size portion of ice cream for desert, tasty. Not always keen on thin crust since it is often soft. This crust was thin and CRISPY..it was good. An overall positive experience. We will be back..Thank you.

I had an amazing experience at Birch and Bear Pizza! Their gluten-free pizza crust was seriously impressive — crispy and delicious. They also offer tasty ice cream served in a cup, which was a nice treat. The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten and made me feel confident about my order. Stopped in here last weekend and loved it! The pizza was absolutely delicious and they have a great selection of craft beer and pop. Plus, they’re located right by the river valley which makes it the perfect place to go for a mid-ride meal, and every table has a clear view out the window so you can feel comfortable leaving your bikes outside.

With so many pizza choices in Edmonton its hard to pick but I ordered the leek, feat and mushroom pizza. Deliciousness. Not too heavy, great flavor, generous toppings. Cesar salad is the best. Cookies are good too. Overall would absolutely recommend

This place is solid!!! Well located in an area that needs a great pizza place, this location just opened up a few months ago, and it is definitely worth checking out. It’s got a cool vibe, great service, and delicious pizza!! Portions are perfect for lunch with leftovers for another meal.

We were excited to try something new. I opted for the lemon roasted kale & artichoke vegan pizza. It is pretty disappointing to pay $27 for a pizza and get it home and find the vegan cream cheese and hummus that was supposed to be on my pizza non existent. When I contacted the business about the issue I was told this is how it is supposed to be and if it wasn’t up to my taste I should add cheese shreds next time. Again the issue was the total lack of cream cheese and hummus. They even went as far to send me photos of the pizza how it was supposed to be which visually confirmed that my pizza was lacking the appropriate amount of hummus and cream cheese and was also overdone so the kale was burnt. But still they refused to acknowledge the pizza was poorly made. Due to quality control issue and lack of ownership of their mistake I do have to say this is the worst vegan pizza in the yeg area
My birch and berry salad was alright but was missing blackberries.
I will add my partner tried the meatlover pizza and was very underwhelmed by it stating that it was overdone. Both pizzas will go in the trash and our interaction with the business means we won’t give them a second chance. I do not recommend.

Meh. It was exciting to have a pizza place open up in the neighbourhood and it seemed to be a bit better upon opening…but recently the quality doesn’t reflect pride in making a great pizza. I had the kale pizza and there were just large hunks of kale hither and tither and the crust wasn’t great. I want to love this place but there’s a drabness holding it back.

There is really good pizza and then there is unbelievably good pizza. Birch & Bear serves up the latter. The crust is perfection in consistency and texture and the topping combinations range from deliciously unconventional to famously familiar. The salads are phenomenally satisfying. My one and only suggestion would be to add more variety in non-alcoholic offerings like sparkling water, kombucha and a mock-tail or two.

Ordered a pizza for takeout. Had the capicollo, Parmesan and truffle oil pizza. It was delicious. Only complaint is that I’m sure the pizza had been ready and sitting for awhile despite showing up to get it at the time I was told from the on-line order. The restaurant looks nice and was fairly busy. This place should do well! Definitely recommend giving it a try.
