The Yard is so incredibly blessed to have DiNic’s instead of a Starbucks or some other generic national chain.
This place rocks. Nothing fancy, and that’s top tier – why do to-go breakfast/coffee places keep trying to be overly sophisticated? And to be fair, I do like foo-foo mochas and single-serving gourmet quiche.
But strong black coffee and a breakfast roll for total cost half what it would be at a chain? Unbeatable, I’m coming back here all the time.

They have Huge breakfast sandwiches. The lunch has been excellent. I originally was getting the cold sandwiches for lunch because they were faster. Now I am getting the hot ones and they are certainly worth the extra few minutes wait.

Great roast pork sandwich and roast beef sandwich, went to the Reading Terminal location and be prepared to wait alittle but we’ll worth the wait. You can add provolone, roasted peppers hot or sweet. Highly recommend!!

The sandwiches here are incredible and I’ve never had a better roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe sandwich period. Every aspect of it is amazing like woah. As a few pro tips don’t go far with a sandwich as it’s best enjoyed fresh and make sure you bring cash because they’re a a cash only establishment (their prices have also gone up a bit so bring a few extra dollars). You should also check out their even better location in Reading Terminal Market. Limited outdoor seating is available and there is an atm on the right side of the building.

Um yes please! First thank you for being open on a Monday in a city where nothing seems to be open on Mondays. Everything was great! I got a cheesesteak and it was so good, the bread they use is perfect. Wife got a roast pork and got long hots on it, wow those really set it apart from others. I should have gotten more on my cheesesteak but there’s always a next time! Parking is easy cause thankfully not a lot of people are around the Navy Yard on a Monday at noon.

Heard about the roast pork sandwich and was DiNic’s was recommended. We got one and immediately grabbed another for the road trip. The sandwich was filled and tasted great. Highly recommended.
