I visited City BBQ for the first time today, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, and the food was outstanding. All the meats were exceptionally tender—so much so that even the kids loved every bite.
A special shout-out to William, whose kindness and attentive service truly made our family’s visit memorable. Thanks to him, we were able to relax and enjoy a great meal together.
This is definitely a place we’d love to come back to. Highly recommended!

City BBQ is one our favorite places when we want good bbq, the city sampler is a good choice to try two or three meats from their menu, the pulled chicken, pork and turkey are and excellent choice and the brisket is good. The salads are big, so you can have a healthy option, the Texas toast is delicious and also the Mac and cheese is nice because it’s baked and not so creamy.

Definitely a great bbq chain!! We tried other popular places but they were far too expensive for the little you get. Honestly, I preferred the meats here! We got the motherload to split with 4 people and it was more than enough!! The fried okras were one of the best I’ve ever had. The only thing that I personally didn’t enjoy was the cornbread. I am not used to the cornmeal they used here as I am from the northeast. Overall, everything was delicious

I’m so fortunate to be living relatively close to this fabulous BBQ place in Cary as, even on a whim, I can swing by and know what I’m getting. And trust me it’s hard to pick from so many lovely BBQ offerings. No matter what your cravings of the day are, you will not be disappointed. The other fact is that the moment you order the sweet salvation starts in your mouth, as your body knows what food extravaganza is and can’t wait for it. Service stuff always helpful, friendly and with a genuine smile.
I’m biased a bit, being mostly a pulled pork guy, so my go-to happiest meal ever is ‘not so sloppy joe ‘, but generally everything is tasty. Pricing is more than reasonable if not underpriced.
Finally, not to big forgotten, and MOST important is that they are HUGE supporter of veterans, shelters, farmers, and underprivileged organizations in need which are doing the noble things, just because it’s the right thing to do – just like it’s supposed to be. Somebody with a BIG heart is running this ship

Another. great BBQ meal. I got the ‘Not a Sloppy Joe’ with a side of Fried Okra. The sandwich was flavorful with the perfect amount of sauce. The fried okra was served hot and a nice sized portion. The service was friendly and efficient.

I would like to give my kudos to the cashier at city BBQ when we first walked in super friendly, and I’d also love to acknowledge the absolute angel that was busing tables and cleaning the dining room and made wonderful conversation. Unfortunately, the dining room was at 50°F. Our food got cold with a matter of seconds walking it to our tables which is such a shame because the food actually tasted amazing when going to grab my food. I asked if this order was mine and the lady just looked at me blankly, not responding and when I asked again and the same thing happened. When I asked to adjust the temperature I was told to basically deal with it.
