The best in Sumter, SC! We have been twice already and the 2nd time was better than the first! Stephen (Steven) was our waiter and he was excellent ! You must ask him for a magic trick On top of that, he was attentive to us and never acted like he didn’t have time for us. Definitely order the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The best I have ever had. Seriously! I recommend doing a reservation because they are very busy on a Friday and Saturday night if you are from out of town like we are. But if you don’t, it’s worth the wait time. The restaurant is very clean and a family environment so bring the kids. We will be coming back the next time we are in town.

I went on a Sunday evening at 4:30 with a party of 6. When we were seated we were immediately informed that they had a busy day and a about 8-12 items were sold out. (That was fine).
We ordered and waited.. waited.. waited.
That was about 25-30 min. we ate then waited….waited for our checks. Our server was nice and friendly but the service could have better.

The food was just ok to me from what I ordered. I had the pleasure of eating there because of a birthday dinner. The croissants were delicious! Be sure to ask for butter on the side. I ordered: •Blackened Chicken
Blackened chicken breast topped with cheddar & jack cheeses, black bean salsa, tortilla strips, chives & sour cream. (Served with choice of side & salad) my side was a baked sweet potato and I ordered a side of wild rice.

I would only go back if I was invited out in the area. The service was excellent and our waiter/waitress took care of the party very well.

I took my wife here for our 36th anniversary. Hoped it would be a nice cozy place. The food was really good. The problem was I was seated next to the to-go staging table which happened to be the staff break room right in the front of the restaurant. I asked to be moved and they said I could be moved outside. The day is January 27, 2026 at 6pm and it was 37 degrees outside. When I spoke with the manager she said that was how it was always done. I told her that no I had been there before and that is not how it has always been. She then told me that it has been that way for three years as long as she has been there and that I should talk to the owners.
So to the owners….. There was seven female employees and two male (kitchen staff). The picture doesn’t show the staff but it shows the to-go orders waiting to be picked up. This is where everyone was standing around chit-chatting.
Now if the manager had a clue you would not be paying employees to stand around and gossip and would also know that the to-go orders should stay in the kitchen until the customer has arrived. I have noticed the food at McDonald’s and Burger King is not stored in the dining area.
So I just thought I would let the owners know ( like the manager told me to do) they are over staffed and there manager is not qualified to manage a McDonald’s.

The Caesar salad was as good as one would expect it to be, and the croissant was a pleasant surprise! Very flaky with just the right amount of honey butter!

The seafood grits contain big, fresh shrimp that were perfectly seasoned and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The sauce had just the right amount of crab not overtake the flavor. The creamy cheese grits strike a delicate balance and are neither runny nor thick. The andouille sausage tastes freshly made with how the spices stand out instead of having the “I’ve been on the shelf for 3 months” flavor of what you get in the grocery stores. The toast is perfect for sopping up the sauce prior to diving in. Eat this dish slowly and savor every bite.

The entrance looks so nice I thought that’s how the rest of the restaurant looked but it didn’t. They had homemade tartar sauce and blue cheese salad dressing 10 out of 10. The appetizers were great, my food was amazing, the service was okay, the atmosphere needs work.

My husband & I went for prime rib tonight. The past 5 times we’ve gone the staff, including the kitchen, has messed up our orders. We keep going back because once the order is corrected, the food is usually good. Tonight my prime rib was perfect! The meat brought to my husband was so over cooked it didn’t even resemble prime rib. Our server took it and spike to the kitchen. They sent my husband a very large piece of beef that he said was good but it wasn’t prime rib. The texture was wrong, there was no fat on it which prime rib always has, and there was no layer of seasoned fat outside the beef. The meat more resembled pot roast. He was tired of arguing so he just ate part of it and brought the rest home. All that said, our server Jessica Lowe was fabulous!!
We probably won’t return because if 2 people have a $117 bill that included only 1 alcoholic drink and no dessert, the food should be right.

The customer service here is so good! I felt very welcome here. The atmosphere is very family friendly.

The dinner menu is amazing, we loved the food. I highly recommend trying some appetizers if you can, the catfish bites are amazing and the fried pickles are good as well. The blackened chicken dish was really good, and their steaks are great.

The menu has plenty of options to fit your budget. Before tip we spent roughly $124 including 2 appetizers and a couple of sodas and there were 7 of us!

Last Tuesday the 21st at 7:30 p.m., I visited the place with my wife for the second time because we had liked it before, but this time everything changed, the food was really bad! I ordered a medium ribeye, and they served it as if it had been cooked while still frozen, just look at the photo! I just want to make sure this doesn’t happen again to any other customer; it was truly unpleasant and not cheap at all! I mentioned it to the waitress, and she was very kind, saying they could bring me another one, but I was really upset about it, especially after waiting about half an hour.

Great food and service! We had a variety of food options and everything was flavored well with large portions. The flounder was a whole fish cut where you could eat from the squares. The chicken and spinach soup was first sampled and then we ordered a bowl. I had breakfast for dinner with grits, eggs, bacon, and toast. The grits were just right, not too thick and not too runny. They had just enough cheese, and I would definitely order that again. The dinner salad with shrimp was tasty. The shrimp were pretty big which is a plus!! I didn’t get a picture, but you also have to get the gator tail as an appetizer!! Tastes like chicken!!
