And found out that they were offering the Tennerfest so we went back Tuesday for another meal!
But we are so glad we did! Because we had a very tasty meal and was spoilt for choices!
Everything tasted amazing and was so beautifully served, tasted great, was hot when it was supposed to be and not left waiting for ages in between meals, it was faultless!!
Craig and Team couldn’t do enough for us, super attentive and so friendly, felt very welcome and comfortable as always.
With out a shadow of a doubt we are always incredibly taken care of, and that bread and butter pudding is simply the best so glad it’s back on the menu
Thank you to all at The Deerhound, for your superb service at your cosy establishment, looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
We visited here for my dad’s 80th birthday celebration meal, and what a memorable visit, the staff were amazing and extremely accommodating to all our needs and even more.
Dad throughly enjoyed his birthday meal and thank you for making it a birthday to remember!
Our black pudding scotch egg with tamarind sauce was a very weird combination of flavours that just didn’t work and not something we would order again. Our other starter of white bait and calamari was overcooked and greasy.
On to the mains, the chicken burger and fries were nice enough but again greasy and it didn’t taste like it was cooked in fresh oil. The other main, chicken and chorizo pie special with mash and greens. Awful. The chicken in the pie was dry as a bone and had one slice of chorizo. The mash hadn’t seen any butter and the veg was so undercooked it was practically raw. It was also served with a beef gravy which we thought was odd.
When we arrived we asked to be seated elsewhere which was accommodated. The waiters were friendly although we found it odd that they didn’t pour our first glass of wine from the bottle we bought. It was just plonked on the table with our glasses for us to open and pour. As regular eat outers and foodies, this was weird to us.
We did complain about all of the above and they gave us 20% off our food bill but we won’t be back in a hurry unfortunately.
