Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.

Service was really good with a smile on and food came quick and it was as tasty as it is in every restaurant.
I had dhal, Mowgli slaw and rice.
It’s located in central Manchester and inside a shopping centre that has few other options.
They do offer a large vegan menu and recommended.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the service from the waiters was absolutely top notch – attentive, friendly and professional throughout. Overall, a great place for a treat or a night out; would happily recommend it if you’re looking for quality Indian food in a beautiful setting.
The moment I raised my concern, they responded with professionalism, kindness, and a genuinely positive attitude. They immediately removed the meal from the bill and even offered a complimentary drink and dessert as an apology. We were already too full to accept the offer, but the gesture alone spoke volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Mistakes can happen anywhere, but it’s how a team responds that truly sets a place apart. Their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond turned what could have been a disappointing moment into a reminder of what excellent hospitality looks like.
Amazing service from management and the entire team. I’ll definitely be returning.
The dahi puri was excellent – full of flavour and perfectly balanced. The mango lassi was thick, creamy, and delicious.
However, I was quite disappointed with the mains. I tried the butter chicken and the Mowgli special chicken curry with roti. Unfortunately, both lacked depth of flavour. The coconut-based curry was particularly too sweet. As an Indian, I personally found the flavours didn’t feel authentic or bold enough.
Overall, a lovely setting and great starters, but the mains didn’t quite meet my expectations.
Jenny, the manager, helped us to choose some really interesting choices from the menu and got everything spot on. We were both really impressed with the high quality and freshness of our food. Thanks guy, great job!
Staff were not overly attentive.
Two main meals had to be replaced as they were cold.
Overall not overly impressive.
It’s rare to come across service that feels both efficient and personal, but she managed it effortlessly. Her positive energy really added to the whole dining experience. A real credit to the team, and we’ll definitely be back!
