My husband had a chicken fettuccine dish but it had black olives in it with ham and something else that was strange- Weird Combo! And my friend had the shrimp scampi. All fresh, good portions. I think we ordered the wrong things… Lived the BYOB and they do have a bar as well!
We will for sure give it another try. Service was great, very local!
The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert. The chocolate mousse was heavenly, smooth, and incredibly decadent. It was the perfect end to a wonderful meal.
The waitstaff was kind and courteous. However, they could be a bit more attentive. For instance, they could refill empty glasses and check on guests more frequently. This would have elevated the dining experience even further.
Despite this minor suggestion, we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the overall experience. We are excited to return and try more dishes from their menu. ️
Florentina’s Italian Bistro has definitely earned a spot in our favorite restaurants list. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience! ❤️
This time we were in Dallas and I wanted to surprise my husband with Italian so I had two choices in mind. The other one was so closed so this was our second choice but Iw as so glad we picked this place. I WOULD SAY HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST ITALIAN PLACES ( I didn’t want anyone to miss so Caps).
It was so good – their service, ambience, food. Everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Best place to celebrate any special occasion be it Birthday, Anniversary or you could go for a date here. It’s so romantic.
So they bring you bread so we didn’t order any appetizers. The bread was so good. For main I got the Eggplant Rollatini and my husband got the Chicken Scarpelli. We also decided to get desserts as the food was extremely good. I had Tiramisu and my husband has chocolate mousse cake. I would say that it was the best.
The food was flavorless and disappointing. The veal in the cacciatore was almost non existent, as it consisted of three tiny, thin slices of veal. The marinara was flavorless, and the pasta was so over cooked it was gummy and textureless. The veggies were an undesirable mix of uncooked broccoli, over cooked onions and mushy pimento type red pepper. The chicken piccata my wife ordered was similarly disappointing.
I don’t know if the restaurant is under new ownership or what changed since our last visit. Whatever the circumstance, we have likely had our last meal at Florentina’s.
