Neat decor, rustic yet modern. Many food choices to meet multiple pallets. Vegetarian choices, gluten free choices, along with my favorite “meat n potatoe” with egg choices.
Our waitress did a great job with our group of 7.
We had reservations but in not during reservations were required. Saturday morning was busy yet I did not feel crowded.

Great place for a nice brunch or lunch. Menu is limited, but what they do have they do very well. Sandwiches were very good, drinks were well-made. Service was fast and friendly! We’ll definitely eat here again.

The food is absolutely delicious—every dish we had was perfectly executed and seasoned. The service was also impeccable; our server was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The only downside? The line is incredibly long, and the wait can be significant. However, given the quality of the food and the excellent staff, it is absolutely worth the wait!

This is a place I keep coming back to everything I’ve tried here is always delicious. The only small hiccup is the service: after being seated, it took a little while to be greeted by a server. Once we connected, our server was friendly and attentive, though water didn’t come with our drinks. Overall, the food and atmosphere are fantastic.

The dining experience was absolutely terrible—don’t come here.
We waited a long time before a server finally brought us the menu, and no water was offered at all. Ordering took forever, and after that there was basically no service whatsoever.
Halfway through the meal, they started rushing us to leave and even asked if they could clear our plates when we were only halfway done.
I will never come back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in for lunch and was very happy with the food and service! I ordered the crispy chicken bowl and the farmhouse tomato bisque soup, both were delicious. Tessa’s service was excellent and she was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Cafe Hollander has such an intimate, cozy, and slightly dark setting that makes it feel warm and inviting every time we go. The hot chocolate is absolutely amazing, and we’re obsessed with the Brussels sprout appetizer it’s a must order for us.
The service is great, and even though it’s usually busy, the atmosphere still feels comfortable and welcoming. We will continue to come back.

As always, the food was delicious and there were many options from which to choose. We reserved one of the globes and it was delightful: warm and cozy and comfortable. Our waitress Jessica took very good care of us and because there were apparently no reservations after ours, we were able to stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere and the company.

Love this place! Food is SO GOOD. I reccomend the pretzel bites and cheese curds for apps. My family loves the toastie, tomato soup and the chicken bowl. The atmosphere is great and it’s such a nice place for a family dinner

I don’t frequently go to chain restaurants but I happened to be in Hilldale area in Madison and decided to grab a bite to eat at this location of Cafe Hollander .
There was no wait and we were immediately seated which was great . Hostess was really nice and pleasant . Our server brought our menus and explained the basics . She was also very nice and did a good job .
Menu had a big beer selection and a variety of pub style food . Many vegetarian and gluten free options as well which was nice to see .
I chose the Sangria to quench my thirst and it was good and very refreshing! I was not very hungry so I got the bruschetta flatbread . I had asked our server if it was enough for one person and she explained it was a good portion . I enjoyed it !
Restaurant was quiet and that was okay for me . Service was good and fast . Would come back again to try out other dishes again
