This is a long time Gainesville st standard. They have solid lunch specials. The service is always top notch. The free chips and salsa are good quality. I kept seeing people ordering the shrimp cocktail so I tried it. Big enough it was my lunch. If you’re looking for a dine in Mexican spot, check it out.

I do not treat myself out often and this was my first experience here, that I can remember. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the food and attentiveness of my waiter. Especially with the cost of everything, the value for the price was amazing. The chips were great. Arroz Con Pollo was different than what I expected, yet amazing. I wanted to try something with guacamole because I heard it was a big deal, but I’ll save that for another trip.

If I could give zero stars. I would. Ordered food for take out asking for no dairy because I have an allergy. When I arrive home 20 minutes later my food is covered in dairy which could make me seriously ill. They’re response when I call the giggly girl behind the counter who couldn’t care less about what they just did and how sick they could have made some one? If I can’t drive the 20-25 minutes back through rush hour traffic they will not refund the order they messed up. Save your money, Go someplace better.

The service was so so, the chips did not come out until the food came out. The chips were super fresh. The salsa was decent. The chicken in the chicken burrito was super dry. The rice was different because of the carrots in it. The Mexican sausage was decent. The margaritas were super small for the price. Parking was a pain in the butt.

We got to the restaurant at 3:30pm on Monday when it wasn’t busy. Because of that I was half-expecting slow service and indifferently prepared food – lunch was long over and the dinner crowd was nowhere in sight. However, my expectations went happily unfulfilled. The hosts at the front door were attentive and pleasant, our server was prompt and friendly. The menu is extensive, filled with delicious sounding appetizers, entrees, combos, kid’s and vegetarian options and more. Complimentary chips with homemade salsa started us off. We ordered one combo platter with beef enchilada, chicken tostada and pork tamale, and one order of three pork tacos with sides of rice and beans. The came quickly, was fresh and hot and the portions were generous. Best of all, everything was delicious. For the money, it was outstanding!!

We have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this one does not really stand out. The pulled chicken is dry, the ground beef needs more seasoning and the service is fast initially but took forever to leave. Can’t complain about the prices though and the atmosphere is delightful. The one thing was exceptional was the queso with chorizo on a skillet. That was wonderful!

What a great time having lunch on Labor Day with family. Thank you to the staff for serving on a Holiday. I’ve eaten here before but quite some time ago. The food was delicious and the margaritas were great. I enjoyed the burrito with chicken and all the trimmings. The guacamole was on point. Not too spicy. Daisy is a sweetheart and she took great care of us.
