Amazing service and phenomenal sushi. Probably the best I’ve had in all of Canada. Everything was fresh and prepared with a dedication that you only get from small businesses. This is a must try in the area.

I came in looking for a cold matcha drink but this place is all about the food. There’s about one billion menu items and I decided to treat myself to something crispy. Now I have to apologize to my arteries. I got tempura and it was light, but then I noticed one piece was about as long as my chopsticks. No big deal. I’m a big eater. The sort of customer that immediately goes to a café for dessert afterwards. No. Not today. The katsu chicken plate came with not one but THREE layers of crispy meat. And two sauces. And a salad. And rice. I went home with leftovers and no dessert despite my original plan. I did ask the waitress and apparently this is the normal portion.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Hanabi Sushi! The Owners and Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious! Top-quality sushi and generous portions mean that I never leave hungry. I also want to give tremendous credit to how calm and relaxing the restaurant is! Be sure to make reservations on weekends, especially, or you might miss out! Thanks again, and I look forward to my next visit!

Large portions, terrific service, and impeccable food! We ordered the Course for Two and loved every aspect of it. We especially enjoyed the sashimi platter. Everything from the tempura to the sushi to the rice was fragrant and tasted fresh. We even had leftovers to take home!
It was definitely surprising to find this charming of a spot in Elmvale. The seating area is a bit small, but no one was turned away or had to wait on the Saturday evening we were there. Lots of people picking up takeout orders. This is definitely the type of spot we will be taking out of town guests to. Can’t wait to come back!

Our last visit was a complete disaster! I won’t get into the details because I do not wish to write a novel. Suffice to say the “service” was horrible and almost nonexistent! It was bad enough that we now travel an additional 20 minutes into Barrie for our sushi fix. It’s so sad to see such a nice new restaurant fall so far from grace.

Absolutely phenomenal. We have eaten at many Japanese/Korean restaurants and never have tasted the food this fresh and delicious. Adorable little place with excellent service and beautiful music in the background. You absolutely must have the pancake for dessert!!!!! This is our new favorite place!!!!
