We usually enjoy coming here and the food is normally good, but this visit was disappointing. When we tried to call in our order, no one answered the first time, and when we called back, the girl who answered (her name is Teianna) had a huge attitude. If I were a first-time customer, I probably would’ve hung up right then.

She also took our order and ended up messing up part of it — which, honestly, happens and wasn’t a big deal. But when we came to pick it up, she saw us, walked away, and started bagging to-go orders instead of acknowledging we were there. The other lady making milkshakes didn’t realize we were waiting, but when I explained what happened and mentioned the phone interaction, she was very pleasant and understanding especially with how expensive our order was.

The lettuce on two of the burgers was also completely wilted (pictured), which just added to the frustration.

I’m leaving this review not to bash the business (because we’ve had good experiences here before) but to point out that customer service and attention to detail matter. A rude phone interaction or poor-quality food could easily cost repeat customers.

We ordered a very large lunch for our office (called ahead of time, of course) Carla was our point of contact. She is amazing! Thorough, patient, knowledgeable…The entire experience was exceptional. And the FOOD large portions, fresh, made to order and accurate. Not one complaint from any of our staff. We will order again and highly recommend.

Burger was great and cooked well to my liking, huge patty and service was great. It’s an order at counter then sit down restaurant. They did forget my milkshake but quickly made it when I asked for it. Delicious meal and HUGE large fry.

The service was great. The server asked questions and answered with helpful suggestions when she realized it was our first time in.

The burger was mostly good. I ordered a basic cheeseburger. It was a little messy but I ordered cheddar and carmelized onions so I expected messy. However, what I didn’t expect was a stale bun, a large, not good, stale sesame seed bun. I will definitely try a different bun next time, although they charge more for most.

And the place was so cold. I wore my winter coat throughout. When we were leaving, the server asked how everything was. It was then that she mentioned that their heat was broken, poor thing!

Burger was large and flavorful. Fries were boardwalk like plenty for sharing. The burger had a tad too much seasoning but quite tasty nonetheless. Don’t be dissuaded by the atmosphere the food makes up for it. Great lunch spot.

This is the place that makes the burgers the way we all say we would make them if we owned our own hamburger place. The food was excellent. It had great flavor and very large portions. If you haven’t been here, you need to go.

I have to say the fries are normally greasy but this time im not sure if they were meant to be this way but they were great! Crunchy, crispy and not too salty. Aa usual our burgers were as expected-great as usual.

Great burger and very large. We got takeout at lunch time and the order was ready promptly. The Dat Fire burger was good, especially the sriracha aioli. Only took away a star because everything is kinda pricey.

Burgers are life, so I’m always excited to try a burger spot, and I always try to get close to a classic old-school burger for my first try, to establish a clear baseline. So, I ordered a regular burger on a classic sesame seed bun, pickles-lettuce-tomato-onion, mustard-ketchup-mayo. Based on how that goes, if I love it and come back, I’ll try a place’s more specialized burgers.

The cook did everything right, here. The meat was cooked exactly how I asked, and it was sizeable and nicely done. The veggies were on point, with the pickles being the main surprise (chunky, creating fun little pickle moments). The condiments were a nice mix and not too much (some cooks, seeing three condiments, will drown a burger — this cook knew better!)

So this would have been a really good burger, even an exceptional burger, except for the bun, which was just the blandest, least-inspiring, commercial-bakery copy-paste bun I’ve had to deal with in a long time, and on top of that it was a bit stale, and on top of that it was a LOT of bun, so much so that this stale, bland bun became the dominant experience. The yummy meat and excellent veggies had to struggle for attention; every bite was under-fresh, inspiration-free, bun. Bun for days.

So that ended up being a solid, but somewhat sad, 3-star burger, and it could easily jump a half-star or even a whole star, with a more amazing take on the classic sesame-seed-bun from a baker that knows how. I felt bad for the cook, who was clearly top-of-game, and then that bun just … ugh. Tragedy.

I feel like this is even sadder here in NEPA, where we LOVE bread and tend to approach it with respect … not whatever sad packing-material roll that was.

Service was SUPER friendly and welcoming. The dining room was pretty cool but it was also ICE COLD. Apparently the heating system is currently broken, and we came in on a bitey winter’s day. The staff wore coats. We left our gloves on until the burgers arrived.

We’ll be back, because the meat was good and the veggies were great. With less neglect for the bun (especially when a big burger needs big bread) this could be an excellent burger.
