My traveling partner and I were passing through the town for the night off I-79. She got the 79er burger and I got the cheeseburger with bacon on it; plain fries for me and the chili cheese fries for her. It was late so we got it to-go for our motel room down at the motel 79. Beings that it was to-go, you can imagine how weird the food got because it got a chance to cool down, really sweat-cool-down because of those Styrofoam containers. I thought my burger was pretty good, all things considered, but I couldn’t touch the frozen fries. She had a couple nibbles of her mess of a chili cheese fries but didn’t finish them (she’s got gall bladder problems). If they’d just do the fresh cut fries, we’d be talking a four star to-go dinner, but since they want to cut corners, they get a three. She says she really liked the burger- they grill the bun.
On a final note to their benefit, we arrived at a time that they began to close down. We got great service even though we were just waiting for a to-go order. The waitress was nice, and didn’t rush use going over the menu. They also had a current issue of the paper so we got to get updated on the goins on in Burnsville, WV.
