Had an early dinner here on a late Tuesday afternoon, so no wait at all. Ordered the Bun Bo Hue and a Salted Plum Soda. I was quite satisfied with the meal. The bowl was full & hearty with loaded meats. The noodles themselves were perfectly cooked with the right amount of chewiness. The broth was great, with slight sweetness. The Salted Plum Soda was ok, would’ve been nice to add more salted plum and less of the undissolved sugar.

There’s a quiet confidence to Nha Trang Vietnamese Cuisine—an assurance that what arrives at the table will taste exactly as it should. The pho delivers that unmistakable home-style depth: clear, aromatic broth, comforting rather than showy, the kind of bowl you finish down to the last spoonful.

What truly stands out, though, is the pandan mung bean drink. Lightly sweet, creamy without heaviness, and gently perfumed with pandan, it’s deeply soothing and unexpectedly memorable—a nostalgic sip that feels both refreshing and grounding. Paired with the delicately fragrant jasmine green Thai iced tea, it turns a simple meal into something quietly special.

This is Vietnamese comfort cooking at its most honest: familiar flavors, thoughtfully executed, and entirely satisfying. A place you return to not for spectacle, but for the calm certainty that everything will taste just right.

Underrated reviews, so good!
The staff is so warm and friendly, it’s an easy spot to return to again & again. Come here often with my family & today I made a solo trip. The broths in the diff phos are so delicious, never over salty or too oily. The drinks are a must try as well. Our fav spot for pho in Pasadena!

This place is a pho lover’s dream! The Pho dac biet broth was incredibly flavorful, and the generous meat portions were impressive. The Bún bò Huế was also delicious, with a perfect balance of spice for those who like a little heat.

The rocket shrimp were a standout – fresh, crispy, flavorful, and satisfying.

Service was top-notch – fast, friendly, and attentive. Overall, this spot exceeded my expectations for authentic pho, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

This was my second time dining here, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing compared to my first visit. From the moment I walked in, the energy felt off. As a confident Black woman with a unique appearance, I felt subtle micro aggressions in the way I was received and spoken to.

I clearly told the server that I did not want tofu in my pho, and she acknowledged that request. Despite this, my bowl arrived with tofu anyway. When I pointed it out, I was told it “comes with tofu” and that they could simply pick it out. I then explained that I am allergic to tofu, so that was not a safe option.

At that point, I declined the soup altogether and asked for my spring rolls to go. What made the situation worse was overhearing staff gossip afterward, seemingly making light of the situation, as if not wanting tofu was unreasonable, when in reality this was about a food allergy and a failure to listen.

I won’t be returning. Ignoring dietary restrictions, dismissing customers, and engaging in unprofessional behavior is unacceptable.

Simply the best Pho and Bun Bo Hue I’ve ever had. I am an experienced and prolific traveler and a self-proclaimed foodie (take that for what it is worth). The food here is authentic, fresh and affordable. I cannot wait to go back.

The food is the same like their original location in San Gabriel. Their Signature Bun Bo Hue is great as always. If you are in Pasadena you don’t need to drive down to San Gabriel anymore Their new item Pho Dac Biet is also very good. A lot of meat and I don’t feel thirsty after drinking their soup.
The service is friendly. You can also order by scan QR code at your table. The menu on the website is very easy to order and good for first time customers. The have all the information about the dish you going to order.
Their tables are clean, the chairs is comfortable, the ceiling is high and bright, the ac is cold.

My server had terrible attitude. The restaurant advertises free noodle refills. I asked for one when I ordered, and they told me I can’t have it until I finished. l

So I finished my bowl of pho, asked for a refill and got a mean look. I then waited 20 minutes and watched at least 5 parties get their orders and I still didn’t get it.

I would have happily paid for extra noodles, what is the point of offering them for free if you’re going to hoard 50 cent rice noodles like a dragon with gold?

A great addition to Old Town Pasadena and an amazing spot for Vietnamese food. This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I have been to that had the side veggies already ready to just be thrown into the pho. Usually you have to hand pick the mint but this place you can just put it all in directly. Delicious, clean, great service, overall really great.

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Pasadena, Hands Down!!

Our waitress Connie was so sweet and welcoming. It was our first time so she gave us some recommendations and they did not disappoint!
The Vietnamese Ice coffee was so delicious!

We started off with Shrimp Spring Rolls & Shrimp and Taro egg rolls. The spring rolls were so light and fresh. The mint really brightened up each bite.
The egg rolls were crunchy, savory and so delicious!
For our main course we ordered the spicy filet mignon pho and filet mignon rice. The filet was so tender and flavorful!! The spicy broth and noodles in the pho were the perfect pairing for such a fine cut of meat. The rice dish was excellent and came with a perfectly fried egg.
Already thinking about my next meal at Nha Trang!
