I’ve been going here since they open. I believe they have the best Mexican food in Greensboro and adjacent cities by far. I’m from California I love a good taco.

San Miguel is hidden gem in Greensboro! Hands down – the best bodega in the city.
You first come in to what appears as a Spanish mini mart then you will notice the fresh bakery area, meat counter and restaurant all in one. The food was amazing, affordable and authentic. I highly recommend paying them a visit!

The food is absolutely delicious. When ordering take out during lunch time you may be sitting there for a longer than necessary period of time. They walked right past me with my food when taking it to the register then didn’t tell me my food was up there until 10 minutes later. I also dined in about 2 weeks later at a later time around 3pm and food came out quickly still just as delicious.

Not sure I’ll be back here. Went in and ordered 1lb of beef to make tacos, was overcharged 90 cents. The ticket written said $7.98, but the screen on the scale said $7.07. I also ordered cheese dip. Overall 1 pound of beef and cheese dip was $16.32? Wow awfully expensive cheese dip! Homemade chips given were also hard and not good at all. I only went here because my usual place is closed on Sunday. Disappointment for sure.

Absolutely prejudice! If you are not of a certain group you will definitely be treated differently. It’s sad because they really have good food but their treatment of ALL people sucks!

Food was okay. I did not get that omg delish experience. There was some communication barriers but we got through. Portions are smaller than other restaurants I frequent of this type. I love pico de gallo and they were really stingy when I asked for a side order and a side order of avacado. The portions did not match the cost I paid for them. I bought coconut ice cream bars from there and they were delicious. I’ll try the mango next time and maybe order some meat from there as there is a meat market in the same building but I don’t think I will dine there again. It’s a no frills restaurant in the back. You have to pay for your food before it is made. This is the first time I experienced this. I don’t like that. What if I wanted something else in the middle of the meal? They also do not have ground beef burritos which my husband loves.

I ordered the menudo and the first thing I noticed when I opened the lid, the horrible stench like old dirty denture. I don’t think they washed the meat well. Tripe has to be cleaned good or it will stink and its not a soup its more like oil. I was literally drinking oil. Yuk!! I’m not sure about everything else on their menu bc I haven’t tried anything. I’m definitely not going back more menudo for sure. Oh the meat wasn’t cooked all the way its like chewing on rubber
