Saddle Brook Diner is a classic diner experience done right. The food was very homey and hearty, exactly what you want when you are looking for comfort food that is satisfying and well prepared. Portions were generous and everything came out hot and fresh.
Parking was easy to find, which is always a plus, especially for a diner that can get busy. It made the visit simple and stress free from the start.
Service was friendly and welcoming throughout the meal. The staff were attentive without hovering and made us feel comfortable the entire time.
Overall, Saddle Brook Diner is a reliable spot for classic diner food with great service and easy parking. A solid choice when you are craving a comforting and no fuss meal.

Meh. This place was a bit of a letdown, especially since someone hyped it up as a great diner. I got a steak, and it looked awesome at first, but then I had to keep cutting away a bunch of fat and gristle. Just not a good cut of meat. I wasn’t expecting steakhouse quality, but I figured it would at least be decent, and it didn’t even hit that low bar. The place itself was pretty old-fashioned, and maybe I shouldn’t have had such high hopes and just stuck with diner classics like a burger and fries. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars, thinking the steak was my mistake for ordering it first, and a burger might’ve been a better call. I’m only saying this because the person who told me about it loves this place, so maybe I just picked the wrong thing or went on an off night. It happens. I usually don’t give less than 3 stars, or I just don’t post at all. I want to believe in this spot and might give it another shot, and for those of you reading this, you should too… but seriously to the owners, don’t put something on the menu that’s not up to par. That steak should’ve never left the kitchen. But I take responsibility too for not saying something to the manager or server. I was with a group and didnt want to be that guy. So give it a shot for yourselves, but dont make the same MIsSteak I made…

Stopped in for breakfast with my wife and daughter on Thursday morning. The staff was very attentive every on a weekday, we were greeted and seated immediately by staff. DIEGO was our server and will be every time we return. Staff seated the three of us in a very generous sized window booth. A complete and absolute gentleman and professional, very attentive and respectful ..us old school guys still appreciate that. I must recommend, the chicken tenders and waffles with honey mustard on the side. Western omelets, home fries ( real potatoes and delicious) and toast with corned hash. For my little one we got her silver dollar pancakes that were almost the sugar of real ones, and she loved them. Great Diner for little kids, crayons and drawing material as soon as you sit. To cement a great breakfast time with family, on the way out the lovely lady at the counter have my daughter a complimentary sugar cookie the size of a quarter pounder and she loved every crumb of it.
We stopped in today for lunch 7/5/2025 after an awesome 4th. I now fully endorse the bbq pork sliders and green pesto pasta dish as well. The pork sliders were like full sized sandwiches, and they come with a slice on pineapple on each. I know what you’re thinking, but TRUST ME, the pineapple is non intrusive, and is actually a perfect flavor infusion with the tangy sweet heat bbq sauce. Crispy French fries to compliment. The green pesto pasta …….I tasted so good, so flavorful, so authentic I had to double check to make sure we weren’t in Little Italy down on Mulberry Street for a second, molto bene. This is our new spot, breakfast, lunch, dinner anytime, t feels like home, and you are embraced as family.

Classic diner vibes! I got a fancy Pumpkin Latte that tasted like fall in a mug. Then came Two Eggs over easy with corned beef hash and rye toast. Perfect! My older daughter went classic with ziti and red sauce, while the younger one went all in with three giant sliders cooked perfectly medium rare and smiley face fries (because why not eat food that smiles back?). She’s already planning her next order: same thing, but with cheese.
Both girls were too full for the included ice cream, so our server let them pick massive cookies from the pastry case instead. The only downside was a lack of napkins but we made it out alive.
NOTES / TIPS:
**Tons of parking, plenty of tables
**Extremely friendly staff
**Wheelchair-accessible
**Betty Boop, Rat Pack decor.
**Pay up front like a true Jersey diner

This diner was amazing! From the moment we were seated, the service stood out—they promptly brought us water and were attentive throughout our meal. We came as a group of eight, and everyone genuinely enjoyed their food. The menu offers a huge variety, with something for everyone. Their burgers are especially delicious, and I personally had the chicken Parmesan sliders. The chicken was perfectly breaded, flavorful, and cooked just right. Overall, a great dining experience that I’d definitely recommend! I will come back for sure.

Friends and I went for an end of our college semester brunch. After a few mimosas, laughs, and bittersweet goodbyes this diner has become the home of one of my favorite memories.
Awesome food too. Everything was perfect not only for me but all of my friends.

A great place to come and eat! The staff is super friendly, and the food is out of this world. We were served right away and only waited about 10 minutes for our food, even though the place was packed. It’s a very family-friendly environment.

This is a retro and cool looking diner. I came here for breakfast and it was pretty good. I’d really like to try a burger next time. My california omelet was very good they didnt go cheap on anything like some diners do. Nice portion and lots of cheese. The French toast and pancakes were not bad also. Will be back to try more items.
