Also I would make reservations. They were very busy and it took much longer than they said to get a table.
The steak left a little to be desired for a 60 dollar New York strip. Lacking the buttery garlically flavor you’d expect from a steakhouse it didn’t have the edible fattiness that I appreciate in an aged New York strip.
Price of $114 for two drinks and a full dinner was reasonable for a high end steakhouse. I’ll definitely be back.
First, I can’t understand why the sparkling wine/champagne was on the house only for the couple I was with. I get it if it was a 12 top, but it was just the couple and I. And not to mention the glasses were only filled half way. Also what’s up with the music, why is EDM music being played? In my opinion, there should be dinner-style music or none at all. The crab rangoons were good as expected along with the crème brûlée. The lobster burrata had bone shells in it and nearly cracked my teeth from biting them. The salad was served from a bowl with thongs self-serve style. Why am I self-serving if there is a kitchen in the back to put it on my plate, genuinely how does this make sense to management to have this? The bread was served in a bag as well, why can’t the bread be served on a plate or basket? The cowboy steak was good however it felt more medium rare than medium. The fingerling fries were just too thin and too crispy to use a fork with (not pictured). Our server stood and had a long conversation with the table next to us and even when I grabbed their attention we still had to wait for them to finish their conversation with the other table and that just really felt like the last straw after everything. Our server unfortunately also forgot about a wine someone at our table asked for about 10 minutes, then after getting their attention they came around and said I will get that wine glass half off for you. It wasn’t half off on the bill.
After spending about $300+, all I can say was I have had Michelin star food and service better than this and at a lower price. It felt like a glorified version of Texas Roadhouse. I will not be returning.
Appetizers go to was the lobster burrata , crab rangoon and some really tasty toasted brisket ravioli.
Would definitely recommend the trip for the experience and the thoughtful and knowledgeable staff
Filet was cooked perfect. The desserts are all made by their professional baker and I wish I had saved room. Will be here again
I got a smashed burger and she got a prime rib melt.
The food was Outstanding. Plenty of food for the price.
Our waiter Martin provided terrible service. We saw him everywhere except our table. Only the 1x when we ordered food and 2nd when I waived him down to get refills that we were waiting patiently for.
The nice girl using the hokie packaged our items to go for us because Martin was no where to be found. She even asked if we wanted any dessert.
We stopped a different waiter to help us. His name was Corey. He helped us get our ticket and we paid through him.
Hats off to him. He and the nice girl saved this review.
