Ok, rarely give 5 stars. But this place earned it. I need a lunch place close to the MUSC College of Dental. This was a short walk. Great food, comfortable place to sit, fantastic service with suggestions. Definitely going again. And the She Crab soup was fantastic. Took a batch home also.

Had a great lunch trying the she crab soup and the chef salad. I absolutely loved the homemade ranch dressing and my friend said that turkey chili was fantastic. Very cute cozy atmosphere loved the exposed brick walls, antique toilet and the very spotless clean kitchen and dining room also great price point.

We love the soup selection at Ladles! My favorite is the Greek Lemon Chicken, but all of their soups are very tasty. We’ve enjoyed Ladles for nearly a decade now (at two different locations), and they never disappoint with their selection of delicious soups, sandwiches & salads. Great staff & owners, too.

This place has the best sandwiches in Charleston. Great portions, affordable, and delicious – they taste home made but only better. Their soups have good flavor, but theyre a little thick. Sandwiches more than make up for that though. Especially when you can get half a soup and half a sandwich.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon with 2 guests – restaurant wasn’t very crowded (just a few other guests).

Wouldn’t describe staff as necessarily friendly – just did their job.

Nice, clean atmosphere in a cute little tucked away location. Would recommend for a casual, quick meal with very decent prices.

-Broccoli Cheddar (Average)
-Greek Lemon Chicken Soup (Good)
-She Crab Soup (Good)
-Grilled Turkey Sandwich (Good)

The older lady needs to chill out. Everyone is so nice there beside her. Let her retire already. As a customer I am there to spend money with quality food and have a good time not yelled at. If you are overwhelmed, hire more people. Never coming back. Btw I was regular!

My wife and I really enjoy the selection at Ladles. This particular location is especially cool. It is in the basement of a house in downtown Charleston. The bathroom is very nice and stylish. It is also very clean, which is a great indication that the back kitchen is clean too. We will definitely be back.

I love this spot, I have been going about once every 2 weeks for a couple months now! I have tried the sandwiches which are tasty but recently I tried the chef salad and it was huge!! It is spinach and not iceberg so just be warned on that but I absolutely loved every minute of my meal!
