I’ve always liked Spinning Wheel. I’ve held and attended banquets here, and we’ve dined here several times.
On this particular visit, I ordered a side salad. All of the sides are 3.95. Here is a picture of the salad. The container wasn’t even half full.
Everything else was great. They have crinkle cut fries that I love, the tenders are delicious, and their sauce tastes like it’s homemade.
Also, unlike many of the places we visit, they got three entire order right. It’s nice not to have to go back or call a place once I get home.
I’m guessing the salad thing was a one- off based on everything else.

I have been trying to eat healthier so ordered the Captains Seafood Platter (broiled). Substituted fries for spinach. Very delicious. My husband had the fries and shrimp. Coleslaw came with both of our dishes. They bring homemade bread with honey butter and regular butter to your table. Highly recommend!

I am 50 50 on Spinning wheel. The venue is awesome However bring your mosquito spray if you will be there after sunset. Their was enough good food to eat to make up for the food I don’t like. Clams were 50 percent small and 50 percent too big for me. However there was plenty to eat and staff was very nice and accommodating.

Good quality restaurant food with diner prices. I come here often and always leave satisfied. They have daily specials that are fresh with a complimentary salad and fresh baked bread. If you are looking for great food at a reasonable price with good service and a friendly atmosphere then The Spinning Wheel is the place to go.

Until they closed in 2018, our union held a highly anticipated annual clam bake at Hinerwadel’s in North Syracuse. The venue for that joyous gathering has been moved to the Spinning Wheel which did not disappoint. Like Hinerwadel’s, their clambake includes an abundance of food to choose from in addition to the bountiful baked clams with melted butter dipping sauce. This included salads, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, barbecue pulled pork, delicious meatballs in marinara sauce, roast beef sandwiches with horseradish sauce, and for dessert, the best mixed berry crumble I’ve ever encountered. We were lucky to have our event on a beautiful day at the end of September when the shaded outdoor tables proved very popular. The Spinning Wheel restaurant and bar is located in a smaller building, adjacent to the event center, where you can get a dozen steamed clams for $10 (in 2024) as well as sports-bar menu items. This seems to be a gathering place for fans of the Las Vegas Raiders football team. Go Maxx Crosby!
