We were very happy with our visit. We actually had lunch one day on the terrace over looking the water (beautiful view!) and then made reservations for the next evening for dinner inside by the windows.
There is something on the menu for everyone. Lots of seafood choices, steaks, sandwiches, salads… and a varied drink menu. Service was exceptional.
Lunch is very reasonable, dinner is a bit more expensive but worth it. Portion sizes are great. The French onion soup and Philly cheesesteak soup were amazing.
They even gave us a complimentary dessert for my husbands birthday. Highly recommend.

When first moved here 6 years ago all the appetizers were 1/2 price

This was by far the best dinner experience I have ever had. The food was fantastic. The staff was soo personable. Jamie was our server. She went above and beyond giving us great service and taking extra care of our children. The staff and other guests in the restaurant all went out of their way to praise our children and their great behavior. 10/10 recommend we all left with a smile.

The view of the Lake of the Ozarks from the dining room is truly impressive, making it a great spot for a sunset dinner. Overall: the food is freaking incredible and the views are great, but our service was absolutely awful. The worst part is with a party of 8 they charge an automatic 20% gratuity for service on the bill.
Had a reservation for 7pm on a Monday night for 8 people. We sat down immediately with a GORGEOUS view of the lake. We got waters in a few minutes and ordered drinks and appetizers. We got our drinks at 7:21pm and our appetizers at 7:27pm and then our server came back to take our food order at 7:31pm. We got the lobster bites and peel and eat shrimp for appetizers and they were pretty delicious. Our waters were empty for quite a while so we had to ask our server if we could get a pitcher or something and we were told that they dont do pitchers. We had one kids meal that came out at 7:42pm. The water guy walked by our table with pitchers of water in his hands a couple times without filling our empty glasses. We got our waters filled at 7:50pm. We got our salads and crackers at 8:01. We only got one basket of crackers for our table of 8. We asked for more crackers and we got two more baskets. We got our entrees and a bread basket at 8:26pm and man everything was unbelievable. The bread and butter was phenomenal. Lobster Pasta 10/10. Blackened Salmon with honey butter 10/10. Grouper Supreme 10/10. We got a brownie ice cream dessert for birthday 8.5/10.

We brought my Mom to JB Hooks for her 60th birthday and loved our visit. Our server was a young man and he was extremely patient and accommodating! We at SO much food and were pleased with every item. While everything was delicious, I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the green beans were. An odd item to stand out amongst their delectable menu but trust me! The ambience and view provided the perfect atmosphere for our celebration and we can’t wait to return.

Crab legs were phenomenal! Biggest lobster I’ve ever had! It had to be a full pound! We couldn’t get a reservation and sat at the bar. Turns out Nikki is the best bartender at the lake! Highly recommend!

I hate giving bad reviews but this one I had to. It took over an hour to get our food even when we had a reservation. Staff was ok, we were greated by very respectful people. Waitress was slow and did not put in our order along with everyone else’s. We arrived at 705 and had our reservation for 715. Food came out to us at 820 or there abouts. We got okish steaks. My wife’s was dry first time around and under cooked the second time. For 59 dollars I should have had a top notch steak. Not something I could go buy from outback for a quarter of the price. It took over 10 minutes to get water. We will not be back. Not for spending 264 dollars. I could go anywhere else and get a better meal for half the price.

We went there yesterday for lunch and I ordered the cheeseburger and french fries fries. I have zero complaints. The food was hot and seemed extremely high-quality. My wife got a Greek salad and half of a chicken salad sandwich and she was extremely happy. The table that we chose overlook the lake and so it was fun sitting there and watching the boats go back-and-forth. It says upscale dining, but the prices were more in line with an Applebee’s.
Update: Went back. 6/29/25 Sign said. “Seat Yourself”. Sat next to huge table that had about 15 people. Waited 15 minutes. Waitress came by and said. “I’ll get you some water.” 10 minutes went by with no water; left, and no one even noticed as we walked out. Went to Baxters. My daughter wanted to have her wedding rehearsal dinner there in September.
