So I ordered some takeout and I was in the mood for a hamburger. Yep, out of all places I picked Perkins! The burger was really good, fries were good! And for like 11 bucks, I got the burger and a slice of pie. The pie was absolutely delicious. I got apple. Perkins did not disappoint and I definitely will be going back! Check out my pictures and video 🙂
Oh yeah, I was greeted when I walked in and helped immediately, which is always a bonus!

Great service and great food. The potato pancakes are to die for. If you’re craving classic American comfort food with a side of warm hospitality, Perkins on Newberry Road delivers just that. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with spacious seating and a welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a heart meal.

Quiet atmosphere. Very family friendly! Our server was Tracy and she was very attentive and so sweet. She talked to our kids and listened to them being silly. The perfect dinner spot on our way back to Nashville.

I feel like everytime we go to Perkins could be our last. We don’t come here regularly but have been going to Perkins for years and almost exclusively at night and very typically for a slice of pie and a drink. Maybe the occasional appetizer or split a breakfast meal. I cannot however remember even one time in the past 5+ years when service hasn’t been a struggle. There are never enough staff! Plenty of patrons but not enough staff. Folks come in and wait, and wait until they just can’t take it anymore and leave. They even used to have a robot that delivered food to your table but I guess things got so bad that it even quit. This is why I feel like everytime we go to Perkins could be our last. Not because we’re giving up but because poor service is not sustainable for turning a profit and staying in business. ♂️

This was my dad’s favorite place and we like to go for the anniversary of his death but from now on we will drive to another town’s Perkins to celebrate.
Took our daughters in last night. There were four tables being used, otherwise empty. It was ten minutes from the time we walked in till the time we were asked what we wanted to drink. But in the tone of the server’s voice we could tell we were more of an inconvenience. So, we left. The food has been hit or miss at this location the last bunch of times but the service has been good. But there’s no reason to give money to a place that is inconsistent with the quality of food and has servers that make the customers seem like a burden.
The kicker is my dad would always give insane tips to the servers and, as a further celebration of his life and who he was, we always try to do the same when service is good. One table can get you more tips than the whole night. If you don’t want to work then please find someone who does. Hopefully this location gets new ownership/management soon or if not maybe it will go out of business and we can get a place that cares about customers. Or just plant some trees there. Anything else. My dad would rather that than see one of America’s great corporate restaurants continue to be ok with mediocrity at best.

Our waiter was nice but the services was really slow. She took about 10 minutes to even address our table to begin with, and then another 10 mins to bring back 2 glasses of water and take our orders. After that, our food took an average amount of time to come out. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all so this confused me a bit.
The food itself was decent but nothing crazy. We got the strawberry filled things for an appetizer and they were okay, they were way too hot when they came out and I burned my tongue.
For our meals I got the potato pancake. It was a pretty good portion size but the pancakes And eggs weren’t as good as I would’ve hoped.
My boyfriend got the French toast which we both thought was pretty good.
Overall, it wasn’t bad and definitely reasonably priced. It was pretty nice and clean in there. Their pie and other deserts look super good but didn’t have a chance to try them.

Love this restaurant so much! I’ve never had anything to eat there I didn’t like, staff is always amazing. Been coming to this location since my early 20s so going on 20 years now and they are consistently great. Thanks Peekins!! .

Erin was our server. She did a very good job. She was very personable, which made our breakfast quite enjoyable. Our food was properly cooked to order. This was a great place for breakfast.

Today we had the Cajun Porkchops, with Rice and broccoli, and let me tell you the Pork Chops were slamming. Absolutely delicious. My complements to the cook.

Staff can have been friendlier. The coffee was good and a fairly solid omelette. The toast wasn’t really toast more warmed up bread, but I’m sure they would’ve toasted it more if I asked.
