The experience was lovely. Our waitress was so friendly.

I cannot describe how delightful the pancakes were! They were just like the ones I knew from the best breakfast I had growing up.

I am extremely picky about country gravy. Nowadays, most restaurants use powdered or canned stuff. This place is LEGIT with their country gravy. Just like the stuff me and my dad make at home. Delicious biscuits and gravy.

The Spicy Western Omelet comes with pickled jalapenos inside.

I bet the chicken fried steak is awesome will be trying that next time I find myself passing through Otis in the evening.

Am absolute classic old school cafe in a small Colorado town! You wouldn’t think anyone lives here and how would a cafe survive? Well, the food is amazing and so are the staff! So just history all over the walls and outside in the small streets. Will definitely visit again when we’re in the area.

Mom’s Kitchen Cafe in Otis Colorado was a delightful surprise! The building may look old… because it is…but it’s also filled with nostalgic photos of Otis’ past.
Our very friendly waitress’ recommendations were Delicious!
We ordered the Hot Cheeseburger (2 patties with mashed potatoes smothered in brown gravy) and a Rodeo Burger, which was cooked to perfection, with breaded fries that were soft inside and crispy outside.
We also enjoyed a slice of coconut cream pie that finished our meal to perfection. (Unfortunately the pie was consumed before I could get a picture)
All in all a very enjoyable dining experience in a tiny town in northeastern Colorado. Definitely a must-stop next time we’re in this area.

What an absolute gem of a spot, lovely staff, great food and excellent value.

If you have never had a burger dipper before I would recommend. If you are in the area and want some authentic home cooking this is the place.

Avoid the chains and eat and spend local.

Cute home town restaurant with a family vibe. Good food, we had the Mexican on Fridays they offer was good, just like mom cooked it. Good home style cooking. We tried the vinegar pie for 1st time, different tasting, unique! Also got one of their cinnamon rolls to try! Friendly staff at this small town cafe.

I came here with my parents for dinner and I ended up having the double bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was really amazing. The fries was crispy and pure perfection, the cheeseburger was good but didn’t get enough onions.

Upon arrival they only had one pie left so I’ll definitely be back so I can try the pie. 🙂

Everything is made in the kitchen. Fresh made bread, tender steak, I had no issues eating. I have no teeth. So when I say tender trust me. I know the difference between fresh and frozen. This is a place to take your family even your kids.

Our riding group came out to Mom’s Kitchen on Sunday. We rode 125 miles from the front range to come here.
The special was fried chicken, which I had. It was great! The chicken we really tasty, not dry, with a thin coating which added flavor without being overpowering, like most places. A real surprise was the homemade pickled cucumbers! I asked for a second serving of them.
The atmosphere takes me back to my childhood. Nothing fancy, just good wholesome food.
If you come near, definitely stop in!

This place is a hidden gem. Walls are filled with pictures and history of the town. Food was spot on and the service was perfect. If nothing else, stop for the cinnamon roll, they are out of the world delicious.
