I have no words to describe my experience at JJ Fish (Halal Certified), Bolingbrook branch. The food was absolutely amazing! I loved the perfectly balanced spices on the fish, jumbo shrimp, and fried chicken everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service was great as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious halal food.

HMS Certified JJ fish?!??
I know many of us are cautious when it comes to cross-contamination so this is a huge relief for me especially trying some authentic Chicago branded OGfried fish. We tried the fried catfish, jumbo shrimp and the chicken tenders and they knocked out of the park, make sure to get the lemon pepper spice on the chicken and the catfish as well as a tartar sauce highly highly recommend it really enjoyed it alhamdulillah and highly recommend
Breading on the catfish was excellent and the tenders too!
I did have it fresh and I imagine if you let it sit for a while it won’t be as crispy. Just keep that in mind.
Reminder that is basically takeout only!

This place recently turned halal, and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken and fish were fresh and flavorful, and the uncle/owner was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great spot worth checking out.

I’m sick and I wanted something deep fried, greasy, a comfort meal. I got the three wings and three jumbo shrimp with fries. Both were amazing, I loved the lemon pepper. Usually I like hot sauce, but their mild sauce was delicious with everything, even the fries. Definitely hit the spot.

I purchased every fish option and all were good. Perch fish was my favorite nice and moist. Chicken wings were on point Price to value was great. They gave plenty of sauce along with fries which are included with every order! They are also HMS certified Halal!

I can’t believe I hadn’t been here before! Hands down some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Definitely blew the local competition out of the water.
The chicken was perfectly crispy and not at all oily. Fries were great and had a hard-to-explain-nostalgic taste to them.
I also tried their chicken tenders and wings and honestly had a hard time ranking what I would order again if I had to pick just one.
Great customer service as well. The owner was easy to talk to, gave great recommendations and even better compliments.
10/10 would recommend.

As a lifelong Chicagoan from the Chatham and Washington park areas I don’t and won’t eat at all chicken places or all jjs. I was so happy to find an extremely fulfilling and well cooked option for jjs near my joba bit over a year ago. I eat here atleast 1 or 2 times every two weeks and many of my coworkers have begun to order with me almost every time for atleast the last 9 months.

tried JJ Fish for the first time and had such a great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly everything tasted amazing.
