Someone said, “Have you ever tried shawarma? There’s a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don’t know what it is, but I wanna try it.” so I got the chicken & steak.

The food portions are large, the flavors are good, & they have a Sauce Bar… Don’t get me wrong, the shawarma flavors are good, they don’t need sauce… but I can’t resist experimenting…

Corn, garlic, spicy, & BACON… let’s be honest, bacon tastes good even on a chrome bumper (if you’re in to that sort of thing…) but I’m not so sure this is a meal that needs bacon. Don’t know, I could wrong.

However, the garlic & spicy add a whole new level to the shawarma… an amazing level… & the corn really goes well with the falafel…

I will say this, I think my falafel was a little over fried, still edible though. And I will be returning to explore the various freshly baked goods that greet you at the door.

Seriously delicious. Was visiting Florida for the theme parks and by the end of the entire trip we honestly still think this was the best food we ate the whole time. Kind staff, cute atmosphere. Great portions. 4 stars because the wait time was a little too long probably 25 minutes. But that could’ve just been the day. Definitely a revisit!

OK, so I’m from Ottawa, a city that prides itself on being the Shawarma capital of the world outside of Beirut. Most Shawarma I get outside of Ottawa is horrific. El Genio del Shawarma is a very notable exception!

The flavours and sheer variety and freshness of the food is unmatched. Great value and a really lovely vibe. I especially loved that they’re open late too!

Even the most grizzled Shawarma connoisseur will approve of this most delightful culinary experience!

I’m full-blooded Lebanese. Grew up eating shawarma too many times to count, both in the U.S. and in the Middle East.

Stop slapping together pita bread, extra salty chicken, and some “garlic sauce” that’s not even close to toum (the sauce was more cilantro than garlic lol) and then calling it authentic shawarma. It’s not authentic. It’s not even close to traditional shawarma. Chicken was literally lacking half of the seasonings traditionally used, you guys had my ancestors are rolling in their graves across Lebanon. Not to mention actually calling yourselves Lebanese in the UberEats categories should be criminal. Just please categorize yourself as only Venezuelan, because at least that would be honest.

Also, you guys list that you put “tabule” in the shawarma too. Who taught you guys how to mix your tabbouleh? Chopped parsley isn’t “tabule”, you’re missing like 6 other ingredients in a salad mix like that.

Lastly, thanks for missing like half of the order. Always fun when a restaurant can’t read a bolded receipt with multiple things missing, only to waste more time trying to figure out where to get food for the rest of your group.

Just do yourself a favor and call your chicken shawarma a “chicken wrap” like half of the other “Middle Eastern” restaurants do in Orlando. It would literally set better expectations for people who are looking for something authentic. Stop calling pita wraps “shawarma” for some better marketing.

I literally couldn’t finish more than a few bites before throwing out my food. Same with my fiancé. Legit spat it out and threw it all away.

My friends bragged about this place so I HAD to come and I’m glad I did! Everything was delicious! I must’ve swiped my card like 7 times because I wanted to keep trying different things. Even took some food home with me. I’m from Chicago and we don’t have anything like this. We NEED you in Chicago! Please! Service was great too and I loved the different desserts and bakery items by the register. Took home some of those too. Thanks!

P.S. thank you for keeping your prices affordable! Sooooo many ridiculously overpriced Venezuelan restaurants in the area and they’re not even this good. I’ll be back soon!

The worst service!

The girl who attended us (around 8:50 – 9pm on Tuesday March 3rd) seemed like she was having a bad day. Her facial expressions and the way she treated customers said it all. I believe someone like that really makes a business look bad.

While we were eating, another customer asked to throw away some trash in the bag she had ON TOP of one of the tables near the trash area, and the look of disgust on her face just because he asked her to open the bag was shocking.

Even before she served us, you could already see her unwilling attitude.

Very bad experience in customer service — quite expensive for food with very little flavor.

For calling themselves “El Genio del Shawarma” they’re not that genius when it comes to taste.

Oh y para las 9 de la noche ya no tenía kibbeh, like whaaaatttt tomando en cuenta que faltaban 4 horas para cerrar. Crazy!

Swarms was on point! They have humus by the ladle, bacon, cheese, garlic, spicey to name a few sauces. Yes BACON and cheese sauce was surprising.
Also I was surprised everything is on SPANISH. Menue, TV shows, advertisements…Eveeything but the music ( thank goodness). Never bad to touch up on my espanoles!
Large portions. Get it to go! Who eats anything ethnic with out servesas (beers).
See, working that 2nd language thing.
And Chinotto might be better than 7up?!!
I’d still gone if it was a mexican place… I would have known what to expect!

I checked in at the counter and sat at a table to wait for my to go order because it wasn’t ready when I arrived.

After seeing multiple patrons who ordered after me get their food, I returned to the counter to ask. My order was sitting there cold. I waited 40 minutes and the woman with whom I checked in walked by me and made eye contact multiple times. She didn’t care that I was waiting or that my food was sitting there getting cold.

Once it was handed to me, another young lady asked, “you’ve been waiting for a while, right!?”

I said, “yes.”

She said, “sorry,” and shrugged.

Maybe think twice before rubbing this lamp.
