My fiancée and I were searching for a solid dinner spot, which can sometimes be a challenge when she visits. Since she lives closer to the city, she often feels like our local options are a bit limited compared to what she’s used to. She had a very specific craving for Chili’s Southwestern egg rolls, and we were thrilled to discover that Santa Fe Cattle Company has their own version on the menu.
To our absolute surprise, they weren’t just a good substitute—they were actually better! She was able to get her fix with an appetizer that exceeded her expectations, while I opted for a nice, juicy burger that was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great, and the food quality really blew us away.
It’s always a relief to find a place that makes a “city girl” feel right at home with the menu variety and quality. This experience was amazing from start to finish, and I think we’ve officially found our new go-to spot whenever she’s in Fort Payne. If you’re looking for great flavors and a satisfying meal, you can’t go wrong here. We will definitely be back!

This was recommended to us from the hotel. Not many restaurant options in this town, but this restaurant has great food and several choices of draft beers. Yeast rolls are perfect. Loved it, recommend it, and would gladly come back again.

We ate at Santa Fe in Fort Payne tonight. Fann made sure everything was running smoothly and that everyone got seating and waiting on with a smile. Our waitress Denny was great. Took our order on time and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great. Steak cook to perfection. Thank you Fann for a great experience. We will be back.

As a tourist, this restaurant went beyond my expectations. Got asked if we wanted rolls, and of course, we said yes. The rolls came no less than 1-2 minutes later. Lightning fast! I ordered a 6oz steak with a side of seasoned fries and a ranch salad. The salad was amazing, but I couldn’t finish all of it since I wanted to save for my meal. The steak was a little dry and could’ve been better. When I laid eyes on the fries, my mouth watered!! The atmosphere was so lively. And a Yeehaw happy birthday to Noah, who caught the attention of many in the restaurant. The ride from the mountainside was truly beautiful, and I highly recommend other tourists to check out the sunset from a mountainside or a balcony during the evening. Thank you to our beautiful waitress, who recommended The Hatter Cafe to us. If she hadn’t told us about it, we’d have to miss out on something amazing. Thank you, Santa Fe Cattle Company.

We came for valentines day. It was packed, not a problem we didn’t mind waiting. The woman seating people blonde long curly hair. Theres 2 of us. But people that were coming in after us she was just coming seating them first. I asked her why she wasn’t calling in order. She lied and said they came in first. I know that’s not true because the older woman was talking to me and said she just got here. She was even shocked. I called in and was told to talk to the manager up front. My husband brought me here. But I promise this I will never come to this one again. There’s others in Albertsville but at least we were treated a whole lot better there.

We tried Santa Fe Cattle Company for lunch. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant has a nice country nostalgic feel. Amber took very good care of us. She took our drink order as soon as we were seated and kept our glasses full.. She was very helpful and made a few suggestions that helped us have a good lunch experience. My wife and I both got the fried haddock. The haddock was a very large piece and was nicely fried. It was very good. My wifes side was seasoned fries which she said were very good. I chose the mashed potatoes with brown gravy. They were good but could have been warmer as they were close to room temperature. We both got side salads which were nice salads. The manager stopped by to check on us before we left. Overall it was a very good experience. We will stop in again when we pass back through the area.

While staying in Ft Payne for a four day business trip, I ate at the Santa Fe Cattle Company twice for dinner. The first night I enjoyed the mozzarella sticks that were absolutely melt in your mouth perfect along with the Blackened Steak Salad. Such a great meal. On the second occasion I had surf and turf combo pick two with steak and shrimp. Both meals were excellent. As I was solo dining I sat at the bar and enjoyed great service on both occasions. This will definitely make it into my new rotation once I am in the area full time.

Francis and her staff is AMAZING!!!! the food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was homely and family oriented and that was my first visit, I mostly definitely will be for more!!!

My daughter and I went there on a Thursday evening, early enough to avoid the crowds. We only ordered a bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup each. The service was exceptional. After getting 3-4 bites in, my daughter discovered a small cockroach in her soup. Of course, she didn’t want to eat anymore. The waitress was quick to get us a menu and take the soup away, promising a manager would come by. The manager did come by, but after some time while we waited, and waited. She didn’t apologize but did offer us another item on the menu and to take off the bowl of soup from our bill. But, charged us for the other item that we had to order which made our bill higher than it was originally going to. I mentioned that we should have got at least my daughter’s meal for free, but the manager was quite rude and told the waitress that only the bowl of soup. I was eating the soup as well and kept looking for another roach. Fortunately, I didn’t find one, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak, that the meal wasn’t discounted. Thinking twice about returning. . The service was great, but a manager that doesn’t care about people enough to make sure they are satisfied is kind of hard to swallow.

We ordered the Big “A” Salad, Egg Rolls, Chicken tortilla soup, and ribs. The food was delicious, that in itself was a 5 star rating. Our waitress, Payton was extremely nice and very helpful, constantly checking in on us. However, we did unfortunately encounter a 40-minute wait after ordering our food. Overall we would suggest this restaurant for their superb food, but make sure you have some time on your hands before going!!
