A wonderful first experience. The restaurant was a little warm, but the food and the service were great. The Bruschetta was incredible. We felt pretty bad that one server and a person we believe to be the owner were running the restaurant themselves the whole time. They did a fantastic job, considering the situation. We will definitely be returning and look forward to their new location!

This is a must visit with their fresh pasta and the family recipe sauces I don’t think you’ll regret this one bit. The appetizers came right out but a slow with the main course. I think it was worth the wait. Antonio our server was top notch! The meatballs and lasagna were heavy on the pork for my taste, but the chicken parmesan…holy moly!!!
It’s the same location and owners as Main Street Deli, so if you call for reservations don’t be surprised if that’s how they answer the phone.

Amazing food! I loved the service , very fast and customer centric.
Kyle was our server , he was very attentive and kind.
And the hostess Lindsay accommodated us even without a reservation and a full house.
Will definitely come back! And recommend it to our friends and family.

We came here for our anniversary, and couldn’t be happier. Caprese salad is perfect, pastas are cooked perfectly, sauces are absolutely amazing with plenty on the plate. We will definitely be back, great prices and food!

Intimate Italian. Food was fantastic. The family recipe bolognese was amazing. I had the pork loin and couldn’t be happier. You need to wait for the meal yet so worth the wait. Pasta was better than most. This is a family owned restaurant, the owner, Grant, is the chef, his bride is “busser”. The server Antonio is one of the best I have seen in Boise. Only part I did not enjoy was the meatballs had a little too much pork. Still good. Definitely going again

Definitely a place for wine and Italian food. Don’t go if you’re in a rush for your food because it’s for slow courses and wining and dining. Good salad, appetizers and pasta!
Got muscles for an appetizer, forgot which red wine we had but it was a blend (get the 1/2 pint if sharing. Cheaper than 2 glasses of wine). Got Italian sausage for pasta and got lil sugo as well as a house salad and a ceasar salad

We tried this place out this evening and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice, quaint little place.
The food was really good. The sauce was loaded, it was all sauce (see picture). The butter was delicious. Service wasn’t lacking either.
We will be coming back for sure.

The food is excellent! Wow! The sauce of both of our dishes were flavorful and rich. The gentleman who served us who we believe to be the owner was charming and friendly. The music and decor are spot on as well. I honestly have only good things to say. Please come try il Sugo if you are a fan of Italian food. You will not be let down.

We were a party of eight
and ordered several different pastas and sauces. Everything was delicious.
Handmade, local pasta and from scratch sauces made at the restaurant.
I can honestly say the best I have ever eaten.
The service was great and the
atmosphere was wonderful,
quiet and cozy. We were able to enjoy
each other and our conversations.
I highly recommend il Sugo and will definitely come here again.

Il Sugo is a wonderful restaurant to go to as a couple, with friends and business associates. The food is extraordinary in flavor, freshness and presentation. The owners are a beautiful newly married couple and have a baby on the way. Antonio, our waiter is attentive but not overbearing. We have been there so many times he remembers the wine I love. The restaurant is quaint, Italian and intimate.
