On a different level than your average cuban bakery. Old school recipes and charm. Excellent quality and attention to detail. When I’m gifting pastelitos this is where I go. Love the delicate and flakiness of the pastry on the pastelitos. Never greasy or drenched in sweet syrup. Perfection.

I went here looking for Cuban bread as I’m on the hunt for the best, fresh made, Cuban bread in Miami. I sadly didn’t find that here. I bought 2 loaves of the bread and upon getting home right after, the bread was crumbly, waaay too airy and a little stale feeling as if it was yesterday’s bread. I honestly needed to drink water to help me swallow some as I was eating as it was quite dry. Makes me sad, hard to find any bakeries here that make their breads in house. Service was well, I have no complaints, very nice and friendly.

I’ve been walking to this Cuban bakery for decades. It’s like stepping back in time to where you abuelo took you after school. My daughter loves it as do i but beyond the usual favorites this is one of the few places that you can still purchase un Pan de Gloria and the bocadito spread your abuelo use to make for special occasions. The employees haven’t changed in decades and everyone is very sweet. Over the years they have added tequenos and pan de Bono as well as some American classics like chocolate mousse. They have every type of croqueta and empanadas as well as pastelitos. It’s usually packed but line moves fast and it’s everyone’s go to place for Cuban bread.

We were looking for some pastelitos and read this was a good place to try them.
Covid-19: this is probably the most uncomfortable I’ve been in a restaurant in the pandemic. Luckily, most people had masks on, but it was so crowded.
You have to take a number and wait for it to be called, so there’s no line. We tried to wait outside and look at the board to see what number they were on, but they don’t update it. It’s really hard to hear what number they’re calling.
As for the pastries, we got a guava pastelito and a guava and cheese pastelito. Both were quite delicious. The filling was my favorite part, but the pastry was light and flaky.
The pastries were good, but you wouldn’t find me back at a place this crowded until the pandemic is over.

Service was terrible, I was waiting to be served, and numerous workers walked right by me, even making eye contact, yet ignoring me. The food was cold, and greasy.
