We enjoyed an amazing meal right down by the pier at Stewman’s in Bar Harbor. Our party split a 2-pound lobster with corn and potatoes, paired perfectly with a Virgin Bloody Mary. The view of the harbor was absolutely stunning. Our server was wonderful—though I can’t quite recall her name, I think it was Jacqueline. The fresh seafood, friendly service, and incredible waterfront setting made this a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bar Harbor!

Overall experience was nice, ambiance, service was very good, best views, comfortable seating. Nice beer selection. Salad and Lobster Dip were marvelous, the Haddock was average, Peel an Eat Shrimp were excellent. Two of our Lobster Rolls were average – chewy. Would definitely return.

Right on the water, Stewman’s catches your attention with its “Lobsters” sign and its protrusion into the waters, promising harbor views. It’s popular and bustling, with classic Maine seafood fare. A sign out front informs you: No reservations. First come, first served. Tables are readily available. They lived up to their word. Although several parties were in front of us, we were seated and our order was taken promptly. That being said, as I scanned through our photos, I asked Dave about the interior. It’s clear we had no harbor views as I didn’t take a picture and all Dave remembers was that it was dark.
We split The Pier House Catch – “The Boat Docks Here.” The meal included Crisp Battered Haddock Fillets, Sweet Whole Belly Clams, Shrimp and Scallops with French Fries, Cole Slaw, and Sauces. Dave enjoys fried seafood and I was craving whole belly clams, which I’ve had before when visiting Massachusetts. Unlike in the Midwest, Easterners know how to do clams. We also ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque, a favorite of ours.
I kept passing up the iconic blueberry pie for my chocolate fix, and Stewman’s delivered with Triple Chocolate Cake with dark chocolate shavings. Yum! Other desserts offered were: Whoopie Pie Sundae, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, and blueberry pie.
I gave this a 4 star, but I’d give it a 4.5 actually.

Right on the pier. Friendly service. Great lobster roll. The haddock sandwich was lightly fried which we liked but somewhat lackluster in flavor. Good fries and slaw. Very good oysters and a decent bloody mary.

View was stunning. I loved the experience. We didn’t have a long wait at all. Was seated right away. This place doesn’t take reservations at all and it gets super crowded. Luckily we beat the crowd. Staff was nice and friendly.
Food took pretty long to come out. We questioned if they forgot about us.
We got the seafood dip as an app and it was under whelming if we’re being honest. Believe the reviews.
Burger was pretty and bae’s soup looked good too.
I would come back here but this time I’d get something different.

There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s on the water with a nice view. It did take us a while to get our drinks. Our server, Marlon was nice but I don’t think he was able to keep up because he kept saying let him take care of this table and he would be back but I went to the car to get a sweatshirt and came back and he still hadn’t come back by. We wound up just getting the $20 seafood dip and 2 drinks and left. Nothing on the menu was screaming to us and things were taking too long to come out. The seafood dip was pretty small for the price but it was good. The drinks were ok

Can’t beat the setting – we were seated on the deck on a beautiful early September day. Outstanding harbor views. Umbrellas on each table took care of the bright sunshine. My wife and I both had the “full experience”. The lobster was good. Not the best ever, but good. Mussels were small and flavorless. Corn and potatoes were good. The blueberry pie was excellent! Overall a solid 4+. Might have been a 5 if our server hadn’t forgotten my beer at first (got it after reminding her when lunch was served, and it was a good local brew). Overall, I strongly recommend this place for the atmosphere alone, and the meal was good and worth the price.

Neil was the best server. We had a raw bar sampler platter which came with crab legs. Lobster claws, lobster salad, oysters and big cocktail shrimp, with 4 different sauces, and crab lobster cakes which were amazing. Also the view on the water in better than anywhere else. I am from MA but I would come here again and again. So good!!!

This restaurant is located in the harbor in downtown Bar Harbor. It was a very large restaurant with a lot of seating options. We ordered a lobster roll and an order of mussels. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal.
