Got rained out at the Straits State park while camping so we decided to check out the diner, food was absolutely delicious and five stars. Very clean, nice wait staff, husband used the restroom and said it was even clean. Hashbrowns English muffin and oatmeal were all made with perfection even steel cut oats Place was full and hopping busy, we will return!!!!

Not our original restaurant of choice during the Richard Crane Truck Show weekend, but happy to find a cute little diner to enjoy a repast. We waited about 5 minutes in the lobby before being seated, but were spoken with twice to apologize for the wait and be reassured we would be seated shortly. The hostess was kind and polite, and although not from the are, had a demeanor that made you feel at home.
Our waitress, Jill, was incredible. Attentive, kind, and obviously highly intuitive/empathic, as she instantly picked up on a mood change I had when something unkind was said. She mostly left us to our own devices as the restaurant was crowded, but somehow still managed to know exactly when we needed drink refills, had a question, or needed a box. She made our visit incredible and needs a raise!
The food was decent. The two people I was with both chose salads; the greens were crisp and fresh, and included spring greens and not just the cheap iceberg lettuce. They both had chicken as a protein, and noted that it was exceedingly juicy and flavorful. I had the open faced steak. It was cooked perfectly, but was still somewhat tough. However, I only paid $16 for coleslaw, fries, green beans and steak, so I wasn’t expecting steakhouse quality. Al of our portions were good sized.
In all, a solid dining experience, and again, Jill was awesome!

Must have new cooks because the food was not good. Omelet came out really dark and browned. Once eggs are brown, they are burnt. No cheese inside but a cold, unmelted square slab of American cheese was thrown on top. Hashbrowns were pale and mushy, barely warm. Brought me the wrong toast and immediately came back with the correct toast, which was cold.
Steak had a weird grain to it and was so hard the steak knife had a hard time cutting it. Ordered eggs over easy, both had the yolk broken and cooked hard. Not sure what happened to this place but for the cost, it was seriously disappointing.

Terrible tasting food. First time ever that I did not like food at a restaurant and we eat out a lot.. Our waiter was ok, but my “home style” turkey dinner was awful. The turkey was grizzly, gravy bland, corn dried out and overcooked, mashed potatoes bland even with salt, the stuffing I can’t even describe. Looked like stuffing but certainly didn’t taste like it. Waiter asked how the food was. I told him honestly it was terrible. He said I’m sorry . Asked for a doggie bag to take it home waiter said well at least someone will eat it. And actually our dog wouldn’t even eat it. Would not recommend at all.

My family and I are here this morning after a weekend in town for the truck show. We were seated at our table at 8:30 am and our food didn’t get to us until 10:00. Several people walked out before getting their food, and if it wasn’t for our nice server we would have done the same. The food portions were small for the price and the fact that we had to wait an hour and a half made the experience that much worse. We will definitely NOT be back.

This was our first and last time eating at this restaurant. We arrived on a Tuesday morning and the place was not too busy. We were seated right away, and our waitress came to our table promptly . After this is when it all went downhill. After ordering our food, it took over forty minutes for it to arrive at our table of three people. Multiple tables who ordered after us got their food before us. When our food arrived it was overcooked and cold. My wife’s eggs might have well been hard boiled as the yolk of her “over easy” eggs was solid as a rock. Her sausage looked and tasted like it came fresh out of a Jimmy Dean’s package and tossed in the microwave. It is pretty sad when the best thing we had was the cold refreshing ice water. They say you can’t screw up breakfast but this place has proven that wrong. Run, don’t walk away from this awful excuse of a restaurant.

After waiting over 2 hours to only be served coffee, we told the waitress we needed to leave and to ring us up for the coffees. She blamed the over 2 hour wait for food on being busy and gave us an attitude about needing to leave. She told us to “have the day we deserve”…. Absolutely insane she is in the service sector. Sorry we didn’t plan to spend 3 hours in your restaurant, we have work and our own lives to get back to.

We stopped for what we thought would be a great meal and we were very disappointed. We were waited on right away received mixed greens for salad which was ok nothing else in salad. Then received our meal, down hill from there. My sons whitefish was like leather got it broiled was way over cooked, my husband’s baked potato was hard as a rock he asked waitress to please get him one that was cooked she politely said no problem. Well she never came back ever. My dinner was terrible shrimp way over cooked, mashed potatoes were cold not even warm same with green beans. At that point we ate what we could. We asked for our bill of almost 70.00, and the waitress said sorry about the potato and said the microwave must have broke down and she could do nothing about it. I politely said no problem we payed the bill and will NEVER BE BACK!! Do not recommend this place.

I worried to stop with reviews but had a wonderful breakfast well past breakfast time with really good homemade bread. Great portions. My daughter had fish and it was very good. Good prices too.
