We visited this Mexican restaurant and had a good overall experience. The vibe was great — lively, fun, and welcoming, which really added to the experience.

The food was okay. It was enjoyable, but we’ve had better Mexican food in the area, so it didn’t particularly stand out in terms of flavor or uniqueness. That said, everything was decent and well prepared.

Overall, it’s a solid spot with a great atmosphere and good service. A nice place to visit if you’re in the area and looking for a pleasant dining experience.

We absolutely loved our experience here at Guapos. I had been craving Tex mex from San Antonio and finally after being in NoVa for 2 yrs we’ve found our new spot ! Fresh in house flour tortillas. A big thing we miss is breakfast tacos like carne asada, chorizo and egg , bacon egg. Here they offer a burrito with lots of items but you can also order sides with tortillas and make your own. Coffee was hot and strong. Ricardo our server was wonderful and attentive (all staff were wonderful). Beautiful ambiance and clean bathrooms. We look forward to returning and trying different menu options. Also, free chips and salsa that taste delicious.

We were celebrating our anniversary, and our experience was truly exceptional thanks to the outstanding service from Carolina and the remarkable leadership of the manager, Yuli. Carolina was attentive, professional, and made sure every detail at our table was perfect. Manager Yuli personally came to our table several times to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, which made us feel genuinely cared for. Her professionalism and leadership are clearly reflected in the excellent service her team provides. On top of that, the brunch was absolutely delicious — one of the best we’ve ever had. Both Yuli and Carolina made our anniversary celebration truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Guapo’s is authentic Mexican cuisine. You are greeted with the warmth of an old friend. The place is spotless clean and the freshest ingredients are used to prepare savory dishes. The cocktails are tasty and delicious. You will certainly enjoy your meal and experience in this time tested landmark. God Bless America! God Bless Blue and Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!

In town on a business trip. One of my colleagues used to live here so we went to their old spot, Guapos. The food was delicious! I had the huevos guerros and my companion had The Guapos salad.

Service was great and they had a tortilla making machine/area set up by the host stand. No one was cooking them but seems like they do for the customers to watch . Would totally go back

Always our favorite! We have been eating at Guapo’s for last two decades. You just can’t eat this good Mexican food elsewhere. This time we had a very nice brunch. Avocado week is going on and I must give it 5 stars. I had my share of avocado toasts this year and Guapo’s avocado toast did not disappoint.

God knows I didn’t want to write this review. Guapo’s used to be our favorite after-work spot—great food, good drinks, and a place we genuinely enjoyed. But something happened that completely changed how I feel about this place.

One evening, my husband and I went in like usual. I was carrying my brand new suede handbag, something I’d been excited about for weeks. While we were waiting for our food, a staff member—not our server, not even a food runner, just someone who worked there—came by, decided to put our food on the table and accidentally spilled greasy sauce all over my bag. No apology. No explanation. She just ran off and came back with soda water and a napkin, which only made it worse

I couldn’t even eat. I packed up and left. No manager came to speak to us. No one tried to make it right. They did take my food off the bill, but, come on, that doesn’t even come close to the cost of the bag.

I went home and I just didn’t feel right, so I reached out to customer service. The next day, a manager called. I stayed positive cuz I’m a business owner too, and I understand that accidents happen. I told them I’d take the bag to the cleaners and send the receipt. And I did. Of course, my bag didn’t come back looking brand new, but I let it go. It’s ok. I believe in karma

I followed up with the receipt same way, but no one ever responded. No follow-up, no apology, nothing.

I’ve made peace with the bag. But I needed to write this to make my peace with the experience I truly hope your business thrives, but we won’t be coming back.

Thanks for reading this.

We had an amazing experience at Guapo’s in Arlington! The food was absolutely delicious — we ordered the Vegetarian Burrito and the Tacos del Pueblo (al Pastor), and both dishes were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The ingredients tasted fresh and well-seasoned, and the portions were generous. The Hot Chile de Arbol Salsa with the tacos was just the right topping as well.
The house margarita was very good, but a little steep on the price. $19 for the “Grande.” On top of that, the service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and efficient. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. Highly recommend Guapo’s for anyone looking for great Mexican food in a warm, inviting atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Update… I went back and was not the same experience. Food was still very good but the service was not attentive at all. We were often just sitting and waiting. No one really paid attention to us and when we asked for drink refills they simply didn’t bring us anything. Also, the inside is LOUD! Lot’s of birthdays etc…

Update again.. went back and our server Kathya was incredible! Best service so far! Tacos de Barria were great and my daughter had the best vegetarian burrito! Definitely going to back! Margaritas are still $19 though!

Came in after checking into hotel and got to enjoy Happy Hour! Enjoyed 2 Mexican Candy Shooters, 3 Margaritas (Passion Fruit, Mango and Classic) and about 3 baskets of chips w salsa! Total bill was $49 so really well priced Happy Hour if you ask me! Margaritas are $8 a pop & $7/shooters.

Also pictured is a passion Fruit Mojito i could not drinks due to the shooters

*shooters were a bigger size than i have received at other Mexican restaurants, I expected the tall shot glasses these were hefty and strong!!*

Stopped by Guapo’s and honestly loved it. The chips and salsa were fresh, the margaritas hit the spot, I ordered fajitas and some tacos to go, both were really good. The place has a fun vibe, not too loud but lively enough. Service was friendly and quick, which I appreciate
