We visited this restaurant for lunch. Food was good. The drink ( sour monkey) was good. We ordered the burger with medium rare beef but It came out well done beef, they changed for us. It turned out delicious.

History. building is a treasure. Should have planned an extra hour to walk through exhibits and history, but only came for dinner. Appetizer was beet crepeni – fabulous! Didn’t expect the rich, sweet taste and soft crust but very glad I ordered it. Drovers sandwich was excellent and side salad was so diverse it could have been a good meal. No iceberg lettuce here, just the best greens ever. Friends had pot pie and loved it, too. Thinking there are no poor choices on this menu.
Service was very well done: prompt, polite, personable, professional.

This historic site is rich in American heritage and culture. The building is very well preserved and you are able to walk around and look at their different exhibits before or after you eat. The food was very comforting and delicious! We split a chicken pot pie with the puff pastry crust, and the beef puff appetizers. All the food was incredible, and our server was great. She was very attentive, kind, and fulfilled all of our needs as guests. I would highly recommend this historic site for a good meal along with some good American history.

Had a nice outing for lunch during Restaurant Week. Service was quick, server was nice. Dining room is a bit loud (echoes) even with a dozen or so diners.

We went to the sign in for a bachelorette the service was nothing short of amazing. Our server TJ ( I think that’s her name) was so kind and willing to give us advice on which place we should grab drinks after. She made our stay so memorable.

My wife and I sat outside in their courtyard and had an early dinner. We both ordered the Craven Street Bowl.
The Craven Street Bowl is a vegan dish made with cauliflower rice, smoked tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots, green beans, red cabbage slaw and topped off with a Chipotle sesame oil.
When the food arrived, it looked like a volcano of goodness exploded into the bowl. The coolness of the red cabbage slaw paired well with the warm vegetables and rice. There were lots of flavors and textures from the bowl. This was a GREAT tasting meal!
The Virginia based Devils Backbone Vienna Lager tasted REAL good. I think the lager paired well with the Craven Street Bowl.
Shannon, our server, was TREMENDOUS! She was full of joy and always arrived at the perfect times.
PS- the Craven Street Bowl is named after the Benjamin Franklin residence in London, England.

This is my and my partner’s first time dining here and let me say I’m very impressed with the service and quality of food! They timed all the courses for our Valentine’s Day dinner perfectly and I didn’t feel overwhelmed with food. Highly recommend for a quiet sit down dinner! And our server Marissa was amazing!

A sweet little place to share a more intimate dining experience. The atmosphere is old-timey and cozy, staff is friendly and attentive, the drinks are flavorful without being overpowering, and the food is excellent. Strongly recommend the jerky plate, and the sliders if you’re going for drinks and apps.

This was only my second time here, we made a reservation yesterday for my birthday. The waitress, who didn’t give her name, was amazing and very friendly and interactive with our group. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their appetizers and the drinks. The main entrees were all very delicious, the pot pie and the burgers came together well.
Then, the surprise came when I got a raspberry crumble with a little birthday candle and the waitress even dimmed the lights to further the effect! Very very appreciated and I felt like there was thought put into everything. Definitely will come back in the future.
