Midvale mining cafe is good. However, my food came out very quickly which makes me think it’s premade. The food taste good, nothing impressive. However, the service and the our waitress was friendly!! I got the south of the boarder and added eggs and it was still yummy! Id definitely go if you want to try something new.

Midvale Mining Café is a fun and unique spot with a throwback mining and western theme that gives it a lot of character. The decor really sets the tone and feels like stepping back in time. They offer a good selection of daily specials at very reasonable prices.
The daily special was halibut, and it looked really good. Several tables around me ordered it, and the scones that came with it got a lot of praise. I decided on the ham and cheese omelette with sourdough toast instead, and it was a good choice. The omelette was well made, and I’d definitely order it again.
The only downside was the service. It wasn’t very attentive, and I had to ask for drink refills. Still, I’d come back and give it another shot.

I was looking forward to a late breakfast. I asked for crispy bacon but it was so crispy that it was hard and I couldn’t chew half of it. I asked for the potatoes to be crispy and they seemed old. Breakfast was until 5pm and it just felt like it wasn’t fresh which maybe was my fault for thinking it would have been. Husband enjoyed his steak and the gravy/ carrots were good.

This place is literally a hidden gold mine!!! Steak and eggs for 14.99 and the steak is flipping huge , portions are dumb big. I dunno I’m thankful they can still pull this off with today’s economy and meat prices. Go Midvale Mining!!! Thank you for being awesome always!! All the love

We have been here many times in the past and always had great food… until now. We all ordered the prime rib and everyone in our group got violently ill for 2 days. The worst stomach cramps I’ve ever had as well. This was bad. The mashed potatoes were OLD and stale. I love potatoes cooked any way and these were inedible. The prime rib tasted OK but it was pretty cold when we got it. I believe it was left under a hot plate or out in the open for hours to make us all this sick. I took 1 bit of the potatoes and ate about 3/4 of the steak. Do not recommend. Im considering reaching out to the health department.

This might indeed be one of the best breakfasts in Utah and I am a breakfast snob! Not only was the food DELICIOUS with themed names, but the portions were HUGE! Our server was very friendly, quick, and attentive, and we had an amazing meal and a wonderful time!

We were sat quickly and drinks were served. My friend said the coffee was good. We ordered and the food came out very fast. My entire meal was room temp. Pre toasted toast? Why? The meal came out to our table faster than it takes to toast a piece of bread. If I have a choice between fast and fresh, at a sit down restaurant I want fresh all day long. Take your time and do it right. I did not eat but the 2 bites of cold eggs and 1 bite if the frozen ChkFrdStk patty, which the gravy was not hot either and they removed it from the bill. If a manager would have come talked to me when this happened, I would not be writing this. Cool looking place. I really wanted it to be a better experience. I feel let down. Don’t know if I’ll be back

The fried pork chops tasted like fish. The waitress laughed and said that was because they bread everything in the same breading. Gross. The fryer oil was also obviously quite stale and old. THEN…after I sent the pork chops back for a replacement of ham…it was burnt. Pictures below. Our server was really nice but you can tell she’s used to the poor food and feedback. We won’t be back.

The service was great, the restaurant was clean and comfortable.
We ordered pancakes with eggs(with cheese) and bacon, which was delicious.
My husband ordered a biscuits and gravy breakfast with sausage and eggs. It was ok, the sausage and eggs were good but the gravy on the biscuits looked strange from what we’re used to eating. It wasn’t very creamy, it had almost a chicken gravy color and the flavor was lacking (maybe made with water instead of milk?.)
My son ordered the kids fish and chips. It came with boiled carrots that had an odd flavor. The fries were decent, but the fish had a weird color. It wasn’t white cod, it had a translucent color too it and there was more batter than fish, it was 4 little nugget sized pieces.
The prices weren’t too bad. We would be willing to try again.

Dropped in for lunch. Been driving past for years. They’ve been here 40 years and it shows. Hot food. Fresh made and served fast. Will try again. Not gourmet, but large portions, good prices, friendly staff.
