WARNING I ignored people’s bad reviews to come here-food is discusting I tryed 2 different meals first was the papa asada which was horrible. The other was a simple nacho, How do u mess up a nacho?! The cheese was so fake and creamy it felt like I was eating warm glue. Eating nachos felt like coating my mouth in melted candle wax. The Trumpo smells weird also. Gave my girlfriend and upset stomach. I’d recommend: taco del Julio.

My family and I ate here today. Upon entering, the place looked very clean and organized. They had just open, so we were one of the first customers of the day. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. She welcomed us in and allowed us to sit where we felt more comfortable. We asked for recommendations and she let us know their tacos and quesabirrias were popular and good. My husband and I ordered regular tacos and my daughter ordered the quesabirrias. We also ordered a ceviche tostada and frijoles charros péquenos. We received the charros beans first, upon trying them I noticed they were very bland. I had to add a good amount of salt to get them to my liking. My husband received his ceviche tostada shortly after and he seemed to like it, good presentation and was a good amount of ceviche, he finished it. We then received our tacos. The meat they use seems pretty basic and not much flavor. The tortillas were my least favorite. The flavor of the yellow corn tortilla was just off and they were cold when I received them. The salsas they provided were good. Towards the end I could not finish my tacos I ate the meat off two of them and left the tortillas I got 4 total. My husband also did not like the tortillas. My daughter did like the mini quesabirrias. She got flour tortillas though so could be why she finished all of hers, the flour tortillas could have had a better flavor than the corn tortilla they use. I was pretty excited to try this place when I saw it open. After today I do not think we will go back. The customer service was great though. Our waiter did ask for our feedback and we did let her know the corn tortilla had a weird flavor to it and was quiet dry. Over all pricing is a little high. $5.50 for a small bowl of frijoles charros is crazy. All in all, place was clean, organized, and set up nicely, customer service was 10/10 just food flavoring could be better.

My new goto spot. I usually goto the taco stand on 21st and Sheppard or cantina barba on main but this spot I feel is better. Prices are decent and customer service is great. Taste is subjective so they aim for the middle to please everyone. They stay open till 2am and have a full bar with karaoke on Tuesday. Jay always makes sure it’s a good time there.
