From the moment we sat down it was clear that the issues raised with the Club India owners had been addressed. The staff were attentive, very friendly and warm, explained clearly about the variation in price on the drink we wanted, and overall made us feel very welcome and very well looked after.
The food was lovely with standouts being the Cauliflower Manchurian, a dish id never eaten before that just blew us away. The two lamb mains were ridiculously delicious and just the right level of spice. And the side dishes we had were the perfect accompanyment- we were fit to burst.
We tried the negroni cocktails, which were lovely examples and added an elegant twist to the evening. And to top it all off, we were treated to a delicious soft and gooey chocolate brownie with a happy anniversary chocolate.
The atmosphere was great with lots of chatter, laughter, and everyone having a great time around us. And the staff celebrated two patrons birthdays over the evening, making a real fuss of the guests. The two young manners of the team who served us could not have done a better job. And I’m pleased to say we really enjoyed our second visit to Club India.
Thank you to the management team for being so responsive to our concerns, I’m pleased to say we are looking forward to our next visit.
In addition to this, the place caters for those who love sitting indoors, outdoors or even outdoor sitting pods, so anyone or everyone would love it!
A must recommend for anyone who enjoys quality Indian cuisine with a perfect ambiance.
Service was OK, but would have been even better if they’d had a chat about what kind of flavours we like and recommending different dishes. It felt a bit like they were rushed.
Atmosphere was good, music could be a bit louder.
Overall a lovely evening, would definitely go again, food was really tasty and fresh and staff were friendly and accommodating.
Food Taste – very good and close to authentic Indian. Non-veg Thali had dal makhni (very good), butter chicken (good), lamb rogan josh (average), andhra fish (average), pulao (good), gulab jamun (good), raita (good) and nan bread. Children had the chicken tikka kati roll and keema naan, the liked both, especially the tikka kati roll.
Service – service was good and polite but lacked experience in hospitality. My review could be biased due to the incident and should be taken as a feedback – When I sat on the chair, I felt a sharp pinch on my calf as I folded my legs back. On checking I found a nail coming out from the bottom of the chair. The staff changed the chair immediately but they lacked the empathy and apology. They were more surprised that the chair had a nail than a concern whether the customer was okay and how to address the customer. At the least, I would expect some sort of courtesy like a drink or dessert on the house or something else to acknowledge the errror on their part and be apologetic for it. Rather, they even took a service charge. It was a bday celebration event so I didn’t make a fuss of it as it was a minor cut but management should take this as a feedback for future.
Another point is the serving of the drinks? We ordered a lemonade, it just came in a normal glass, for the price you pay, you would expect something more, like some lime/cherry etc. else it’s not different than having it at home.
Ambience – nice as it’s still very new, plenty of parking available, toilets were clean too.
Club India – your team are world class, from the team in the kitchen, to the staff serving us at the table. I can promise you that you will see me again.
Onsite parking was a big advantage for us.
Extra points for fresh natural flowers on every table, just lovely
The menu had a lot of variety from various regions and there is something for everyone. The selection of chutneys was great, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food served was to a high standard and tasted excellent.
We went in during the festive period so a lot of background noise, the restaurant is clean, tidy and has some great decor. Service charges were included in the bill.
Overall a great place to visit, although you may need to be rolled home.
