The Smokehouse serves B.B.Q. off a 40ft indoor pit. We cook with only 100% mesquite wood and it is prepared with a dry rub and slowly cooked on the pit. Service was good, friendly staff, ladies were like family. Overall food was good but very small half slices of brisket, 3 little half slices. Understand beef prices are high but there are a lot of other BBQ places that sale same plates (1 meat, 2 sides) at same/about cost with at least 3 full slices and a few more slices. This bbq place was near by for family to eat bbq.

I’m from the NE side of town and when I planned my wedding back in 2009, I went on a whim and tried out a place I wasn’t familiar with nor heard about.
All I have to say is i still think about their food. So much so, I googled today to see if they were still in business. I havent been there since (but I plan to), but when a specific food spot stays in your memory bank for that long, trust its good.
Their rice and beans were perfect and their chicken and sausage, delicious. I’m not sure how they opperate now, but their catering was was very affordable for a then, 23 year old to afford for 150 people, and their on-site set up was professional and beautiful. They even wrapped up the extra plates, ensuring I received all I paid for.
Give them your business! You wont regret it!

Absolutely loved this BBQ spot! The food was packed with flavor—perfectly cooked, tender, and seriously delicious. My first time and although I didn’t post pics of our food, take my word it was delicious. Brisket sandwiches were a good size and fair amount of meat. Brisket junior was a pretty good size too. On my next visit, I will definitely be trying other items on the menu. Great location, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.

The Brisket had no flavor. Not salt, not seasonings, not even a smoke flavor. The chicken was finished cooking 4 hours ago but they continued cooking it and then served it to us. The sausage was horribly disgusting. I spit it out immediately. The skin was crispy but the inside was like mushy turkey burger. The beans and green beans were ok. Brisket fries had no flavor either. Not an enjoyable meal at all. Heed my warning y’all, drive further for better food.

Really good meats as usual! The chicken had a perfect smoky flavor & the brisket was perfect. I come mainly for the brisket.
The beans were a little salty today, but the rice was very good. The only disappointing thing was the sauce was given in little containers that you normally get salad dressing. There was enough sauce, but it was so watered down that it was just awful. And it’s a tasty sauce, which is too bad. Luckily, the meats were perfect as always. So, I will definitely go back and get the usual perfect sandwich instead of a plate.
Remember that this is a dive. That is part of the attraction.
10/10 going back for the sandwich.

I have been here a handful of times and have had great experiences every single time. The food was very flavorful. All the food was pretty good but my favorite items were the sausage and sweet potato pie. The sausage had a nice tender texture and delicious peppered flavor. The sweet potato pie melted in your mouth and had an enjoyable marshmallow aftertaste. My husband’s favorite item was the brisket. It was tender, flavorful and seasoned well. The staff was quick, helpful, and very friendly. The interior had a cute but simple, cozy, country feel to it. I will definitely be back again soon.

The food here is really good, chop sandwiches can be a bit greasy however. Brisket here is so.e of the best Ive had, you can request it lean, marbled, or fatty.. Prices are fair in comparison to many other BBQ restaurants and portions are generous.

Is it the best BBQ ever? No. Does it have an amazing setting? No. Does it have bbq when you need it as fast as you can get it without ridiculous wait times and without running out? HELL YES!!!
It is an older place, probably from the 80s, there may be people there with only one eye, and the toilet may not flush when you need it, but dang it, that brisket sandwich and the family platter comes out when you are starving and you can’t bear to eat any drive thru sodium death wish.
When the other smokehouses are wheezing, they’re still chugging that smokestack here all day long. And the staff is as sweet as grandma intended.
