It is worth the 5-10 minute drive off 45. Warning: it is covered with senior citizens so you will not find a ♿ parking space. Food is excellent a little tricky to find. Best taste for catfish. Large catfish plate in photos.

We are in Conroe, I want to go. They are able to accommodate for dietary needs too like for me me I am gluten free so they were able to fry the jumbo shrimp in cornmeal. And I could eat the hush puppies because they were in cornmeal! I recommend!

Five stars all around for this place! The catfish was top notch. And the potato salad and green beans were delicious too. Service was great and the restaurant had a fine dining feel. Definitely try this place if your in Conroe!

The food and service was pretty good. Would be a 5 star review, but this place is honestly kind of a rip-off. They act like a friendly country cafe, but charge you steakhouse prices. I got 6 grilled shrimp a la carte and they still charged me the full $25 like I ordered the platter. Guess I should have just gotten the sides and let them throw them away since wasting food seems more important than fair pricing. The shrimp were good, but not worth over $4 a piece.

I go to Venons for theirs pickled tomatoes, hushpuppies and tomato basil soup. Everyone else in my family goes for their catfish. We have never eaten anything there that we didn’t like. Dessert are good also. Service is decent, but they do get busy. If your new to the area or driving through, drop in.

Went here for my dad’s birthday and the food was fantastic and portions were huge. We had the catfish with several sides and all of them were great. Finished it all with the blackberry cobbler which is the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place.
