Came in to give it a try and wasn’t helped for like 3-5 minutes. Like there was no one even in the place to help me, it was empty, I was even checking to make sure I didn’t walk into a closed restaurant by accident. But eventually someone came out from the back and I ordered two hard shell tacos a la carte. I had read the reviews that they get soggy so I ate one in the parking lot, lol and it was nice and crispy and one when I got home, it was a bit mushy. They had a very nice flavor, wish there were more tomatoes, I’ll probably ask for extra next time. They were pricey as others have said, costing me almost $10.00 for two tacos (smaller than T-Bell). Not a place you can frequent, but worth a try. The place was being used as storage and the inside didn’t come off the most clean because of it. Also, no inside dining, carry out only.

Delicious tacos. Got 50 tacos for the team and everyone loved it. Quick, ready and decent price. I would recommend and order again. Beef and Chicken were ordered. Love the crispy corn shell.

My friend and I came here by accident, but the man running the counter was very nice. The portions were good sizes and the food was ready pretty quick for us! Everything was soooo good, too. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful. I’m not a fan of peas, but the rice and beans were so good that it didn’t really matter so much. Nice hole in the wall spot for takeout!

I recently began working in Livonia and had been driving past this place almost daily picking up lunch from other places. I had mixed feelings of whether or not I wanted to try them based on the reviews (cost>taste), but one day I wanted authentic Mexican tacos bad, so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the lunch tacos (corn shells) which comes with two tacos, beans, and rice, and a canned soda, along with an ala carte chicken enchilada, with a side of sour cream. Between that, and the 3.8% fee for using a card to pay, my bill was roughly $21. Definitely more than I usually spend on lunch. When I opened the tray, initially I thought the tacos looked so small, and instantaneously felt doubt. However, after one bite, I was blown away. This was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. It was so good, I wanted to call and tell them how good it was, but I figured this route is better. Yes, you’ll probably spend more money than you want to spend, but it’s highly likely that you’ll feel it was worth it in the end. I’m not sure if I would have gotten full without the ala carte enchilada, but because I demolished the entire meal, and feel full (not in a slouchy way, but in a satisfied way), plus have the feeling that I ate a real, “home-cooked” meal, I’d have to say it was worth it. I will definitely return.

Wow! The best Mexican food. We always get the deep fried tacos and chunky beef burritos with cheese on top. The best we’ve had! It’s 20 minutes from our house and it’s worth the drive. Whenever we try Mexican closer to us we always regret it! Also, the salsa is amazing! We have a place our family always went to in southwest Detroit, it’s not realistic to drive that far everytime we want Mexican food. One of our family members recommended this place and it never disappoints!

While I can’t speak for dining in, I had a to go order. I can say that no matter the service, the food is worth it. They are reasonably priced. The food was excellent and the staff was very polite. I had tacos and it came with beans and rice. The shells were fresh, and the meat had perfect seasoning/ sauce. The lettuce and tomatoes were also fresh and made the presentation and flavor that much better. If you’re in the area and want some Mexican food beyond Taco Bell’s measly offerings. Try this place! Your mouth, stomach, and wallet will be happy you did.

My family has been coming here for over 30 years and it has never disappointed. My go to order is 6 chunky beef burritos with the cheese on top and a side of hot salsa. It can be expensive for big orders, but they do also have specials every week that make it a bit easier on the wallet.

We try to get take out at El Coyote Loko at least once every 2 months! It’s a little on the pricy side, but definitely quality food + the best Mexican in Livonia as far as we are concerned. Take out is always fast, the staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh! Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food!
