I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Sky Kitchen and Bar with my wife and two children, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. Although the front door was somewhat difficult to open, momentarily giving the impression that the restaurant was closed, the attentive hostess promptly assisted us, ensuring a warm welcome.

The exterior ambiance was charming and inviting, featuring well-arranged outdoor seating that set a positive tone for our visit. Our waitress was exceptionally cheerful and accommodating, particularly with our meal adjustments, which we greatly appreciated.

The food was served promptly and at the perfect temperature. We began with the buffalo chicken dip, which was, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. Although the chips initially served were stale, our waitress swiftly rectified the situation with a fresh batch and even offered additional pita bread to compensate, demonstrating excellent customer service.

The Shazam shrimp tacos were a highlight, bursting with flavor and generously filled with perfectly cooked shrimp. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her grilled chicken club, which was prepared to perfection. Overall, our experience at Blue Sky Kitchen and Bar was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

The food was pretty good. Our servers were very attentive and offered great service.

My biggest gripe is about seating. They take reservations but don’t seem to have a good system for when people don’t show up. They had multiple open tables outside during a jazz band performing that just never got sat even with a line out the door.

This has been a long time coming, and well worth the wait. Blue Sky Kitchen & Bar is a much needed new addition to this area of East Liberty and the ownership of this new venture is easily one of the neighborhood’s most loyal hospitality leaders to the surrounding community that you can find.

From the classics like Buffalo Chicken Dip to spicy new twist’s on fried shrimp, the menu will have something for everyone. The service was quick, and the food was exactly what we came for…

Plenty of seating both inside, and outside (weather permitting) and rumors are spreading that they venue plans to build an outdoor structure so that live music can be played in all weather environments…but that’s down the road for now.

I’m glad to share that this location is LGBTQIA friendly and will glad to be a regular at this much needed 211 Tower renovation.

We had a really good time here, liked the food a lot, and especially the cocktails were great. It’s typical American bar food, salads, sandwiches, and such, so nothing fancy but everything was very tasty and well done! If you come on the weekends, having a reservation is a good idea. The staff is very friendly and during summer time the outdoor patio is going to be a great place to sit, drink, and dine. I can highly recommend the marshmallow old fashioned.

It’s within walking distance of the hotel I am staying at, so that’s a plus! The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. I ordered a Moscow mule and their buffalo chicken dip. The mule was strong, not complaining there! The buffalo chicken dip was tasty! The only problem I had with it, not all the chicken was shredded, so I spent some time having to break up the chicken and mix it around to get some sauce on it. The chips were perfectly salted and fresh. They even had a local playing his guitar and singing. Overall, I had a great experience and would go back again.

What a gem! Comfortable outdoor seating, dog-friendly, and the food hit the spot. The live DJ made for a very unique afternoon brunch in the heart of East Liberty. The inside looks nice too: well-decorated. Another one of those gems in the area that you might miss if you don’t know it’s there. The outdoor seating, music and games should help to bring attention to the relaxed restaurant and bar. Look forward to returning.

Food, atmosphere, service and price were great! The waiter was very friendly and they had a delicious vegan option with probably one of the best gluten free buns ever! My carnivore family loved their carnitas and chimicurri cheese steak. Highly recommend!

Told waitress I had a gluten allergy. She assured me that it would be taken seriously since two managers were gluten free. They do not have a gluten free menu but said they can make anything into gluten free. I get sketched out when restaurants say that because chances are, they don’t take it seriously. I ordered a burger with gluten free bun and side salad. They brought the plate out with my gluten free bun and a side salad with croutons…. I had to send it back. It came out again almost immediately (within 3 minutes) with a new salad but clearly the same burger. I have celiac. Anything that touches gluten can send me to the hospital.

The chicken wing appetizer was nasty. Grill on one side of the wing, they were rubbery and chewy with a squirt of buffalo sauce that didn’t even cover the wings.

$60 out the window.

Loved the live music, the vibe, and the food was quite good; better than expected for a reasonable price!
Honestly the biggest downside was how loud it was, but that’s almost to be expected with live music.
Only reason it wasn’t 5 starts is because there wasn’t anything that really put it over the top for me. Would recommend, would go back!
