After reading all the reviews on FB we went last night. The quesabirria tacos were phenomenal! My husband had the steak and shrimp and my son had a burger. They both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was outstanding. We ate upstairs and they had a musician who was awesome. 80s/90s grunge rock.. Pearl Jam, etc.

This was a relaxing and wonderful lunch spot to allow us to recharge. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay and we never had to ask them to come. Very attentive! I was able to order just a taco a la cart since I didn’t want to eat a lot and you get a heaping basket of chips with salsa. Was the perfect amount to eat for a lunch. Atmosphere was nice and easy to still have a conversation. Not too loud of a place. You can park right in front with the street parking but we enjoyed the walk from our office. They have a huge menu so there’s plenty to choose from even for the pickiest eater. We sat at a booth which was very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back! Great experience.

Tacos and Beer is our go to place for comfort food and friendly faces! It’s kind of like Cheers, but instead of Norm we have AJ! The food is consistently excellent and comes to the table hot and on time. The managers have created something very special here by creating a friendly atmosphere while actively supporting the Downtown Monroe scene. We probably eat there 2 to 3 times per week… it’s just that good

This was my first time in this restaurant but the second time eating it and I will always love going here for their delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. I had them cater my dinner rehearsal for my wedding in 2023 and they were reasonably priced and gave plenty of food! For their lunch it was a great amount of food and the waiter was super attentive. I cannot wait to go back!

Was walking around downtown Monroe and decided to stop in as we had not tried it before. Walking in we were greeted by a cheerful host. They have a large dining area on the main floor plus an upstairs dining area and a separate bar area with tables, which we preferred. Jared was doing double duty as both the bartender and waiter. He took his time explaining the menu and made some recommendations as well as made notes of my food allergies. We chose the Tacos Hawaiianos and the Haumuchill Special. Great flavors, good portions and all around super delicious. The tacos came with a Chipotle sauce that was fantastic and has a delicious heat.
We highly recommend this spot in town…the menu variety, quality, flavors and all around super staff make the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant…and they keep the beer and mugs ice cold for those who enjoy that part of dining.

I’ve edited my review. They no longer allow you to purchase the mini street tacos without buying alcohol. So sober people I’m sorry no cheap tacos for you.
So I’ve been multiple times. I’m kinda of a sucker for taco Tuesday’s they have $1 mini tacos if you purchase beer or an appetizer and that reminds me of home. The food is delicious the workers are welcoming and sweet. If you’re not sure what to order tacos are a must. The yucca fries are delicious. The soups are fabulous I’ve had the chicken and the shrimp you can’t go wrong. Honestly I haven’t had anything bad from them. Lovely restaurant.

Upon the high recommendation of a 15 year old Monroe local we stopped by for dinner. Clean and well kept fun small Mexican restaurant with a large selection of food options. Chips came out hot and salsa was similar to many other places. Ordered tacos and they were better than the average. Flavor was good.
Staff was great. Very friendly! Prices are better than expected – further away you get from the city the lower the prices? ♂️
Overall, with a visit if you’re in the area looking for Mexican food and beer.

Tacos N Beer is the absolute best establishment I’ve been to in Monroe.
Food is great, beverages are great, service is awesome. The upstair servers are some of the best people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in Monroe. Downstairs stays nice and awesome, but the upstairs crew really kills it in all ways possible. My son turned one and they even did a whole birthday thing for him when it was just us upstairs.
