I am a huge fan of Din Tai Fung and have pretty much visited all of their locations, but this time I brought my whole family to celebrate a birthday—and once again, everything was absolutely amazing !!

I honestly can’t express how good the food is, from the appetizers to the main dishes. My entire family was shocked by how quick and efficient the service was. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially when we ended up adding two kids to our reservation.

We mentioned that one of my nephews has autism, and they were so thoughtful in seating us at a more isolated table, just as we requested. I truly appreciated that, since many places don’t always accommodate those needs. The restaurant itself is modern and aesthetic—perfect for taking pictures. I also love that they have a window where you can watch the dumplings being made fresh.

We ordered a little bit of everything and didn’t realize how much food it actually was, but our waiter continuously checked in with us and made sure we didn’t over-order, which I loved. If you go, don’t forget to try the lychee martini—it’s fabulous!

One funny thing to note: they don’t sing happy birthday

Overall, an incredible experience as always. Highly recommend!

We wanted something a little light for dinner so we thought we’d give this place a go. Menu items looked and sounded good. We ordered. Arrived and waited a few minutes to collect our order. On opening we found the items carefully and well packed. Utensils and condiments were well organized and packaged. We enjoyed all of the dishes with exception of the hot and sour soup which fell a little flat and “not-so-sour”. Nonetheless, our meal was enjoyed and we’d hit it again. Thank you.

Yummm!

My friend has been raving about this location and I was finally able to visit last week while in town. It did not disappoint! From the service to the food and atmosphere… Everything was amazing.

Favorites: the orange green tea, shrimp & spicy wontons, shrimp fried rice, cucumber salad, mango shaved ice, and of course the chocolate xiao long bao with sea salt cream

Our server, Brittney H., along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating.

Soup dumpling was hot and good, but not too flavorful. I would recommend the ribs and wonton more spice. The matcha latte tastes like from a convience store but it was fresh ok. Worth experience trying. The restroom was clean and gorgeous though

Best dumplings in the city of LA. It’s a huge place with a magnificent view of Santa Monica Beach and pier. Perfect if you are with kids. Their menu is very large and whatever you order comes with fresh and tasty ingredients.

First time at this location. Went in as a Walk-in for lunch. There was only about a 15 minute wait. I found the tables to be kind of small, we were a party of 5. I did ask the host that sat us down if they did anything for birthdays and she just told us she wasn’t sure that she didn’t think so. Would’ve been nice if she would’ve asked, we were there celebrating two birthdays. Overall, the food was amazing! Everything tasted great. We ordered the soup dumplings, cucumber salad, baby back ribs, shrimp fried rice, pot stickers, spicy wontons, garlic green beans, and the chocolate mochi. Our server was very friendly as well.

I went to the Din Tai Fung Santa Monica location for the first time, and it was such a great experience! I arrived around 3 PM, and to my surprise, it wasn’t busy at all. I even had the option to choose between a table or the bar, which is pretty rare for Din Tai Fung. Since I was by myself, I decided to sit at the bar—and I’m so glad I did.

My number one favorite dish at Din Tai Fung has always been the Chicken Fried Noodles. The noodles have the absolute best consistency—perfectly chewy, flavorful, and just so satisfying with every bite. I also ordered the Vegan Buns, which I really enjoy, but it was a lot of food, so I happily took some home for later.

The service made the experience even better. Nathan and Kevin, who were working behind the bar, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. They made me feel welcome the entire time.

The Santa Monica space itself is beautiful and brand-new, with plenty of seating (especially at that time of day). Overall, I couldn’t recommend it more. Honestly, if I could, I’d eat here every single day. I can’t wait to go back!

I am Din Tai Fung’s biggest fan and the today went to the Santa Monica location located inside Santa Monica Place 🙂 Stunning location and recommend sitting outside: the views are immaculate!! I got to try the new matcha jasmine latte which was a 10/10 for me. I appreciate the ceremonial grade matcha comes unsweetened and the jasmine milk tea is sweetened so it’s the perfect blend. Some of my personal favorites: shrimp fried rice, string beans, & crab xiao long bao, & cucumber salad 🙂 Sam was our server today and he was an absolute gem!!’ So professional and nice!! I can tell this location has a great and strong management team. The way all the employees present themselves shows structure and genuineness. Can’t wait to be back again
