Reviews
I honestly can’t express how good the food is, from the appetizers to the main dishes. My entire family was shocked by how quick and efficient the service was. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially when we ended up adding two kids to our reservation.
We mentioned that one of my nephews has autism, and they were so thoughtful in seating us at a more isolated table, just as we requested. I truly appreciated that, since many places don’t always accommodate those needs. The restaurant itself is modern and aesthetic—perfect for taking pictures. I also love that they have a window where you can watch the dumplings being made fresh.
We ordered a little bit of everything and didn’t realize how much food it actually was, but our waiter continuously checked in with us and made sure we didn’t over-order, which I loved. If you go, don’t forget to try the lychee martini—it’s fabulous!
One funny thing to note: they don’t sing happy birthday
Overall, an incredible experience as always. Highly recommend!
My friend has been raving about this location and I was finally able to visit last week while in town. It did not disappoint! From the service to the food and atmosphere… Everything was amazing.
Favorites: the orange green tea, shrimp & spicy wontons, shrimp fried rice, cucumber salad, mango shaved ice, and of course the chocolate xiao long bao with sea salt cream
Our server, Brittney H., along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating.
We have been to locations in Singapore, San Diego and New York. Never disappointed.
Cocktails are well made. Entrees are tasty.
Highly recommend the chocolate bao for desert.
My number one favorite dish at Din Tai Fung has always been the Chicken Fried Noodles. The noodles have the absolute best consistency—perfectly chewy, flavorful, and just so satisfying with every bite. I also ordered the Vegan Buns, which I really enjoy, but it was a lot of food, so I happily took some home for later.
The service made the experience even better. Nathan and Kevin, who were working behind the bar, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. They made me feel welcome the entire time.
The Santa Monica space itself is beautiful and brand-new, with plenty of seating (especially at that time of day). Overall, I couldn’t recommend it more. Honestly, if I could, I’d eat here every single day. I can’t wait to go back!
