Super grateful to our waiter, Daniel, for his kindness and patience during our dining experience! He was attentive and helpful!
We both are not big breakfast people but when we are wowed by breakfast it means it’s impressive. She had the pork belly waffle and I had the spinach, goat cheese and sausage omelette.
The pork belly was cooked to perfection, both of us are chefs/restaurant owners and admire when pork belly is treated with such respect. The outer crust was crispy and had a perfect crunch while the interior remained soft and juicy. Achieving that crisp and retaing the juice with pork belly is tricky due to the high fat content of the cut, respect to the chef.
The goat cheese spinach and sausage omelette was excellent and the potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Overall super happy with our dining experience, service was excellent, food was superb. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you won’t regret it!
I haven’t been here in a while but it looks like they renovated- definitely an improved style. I love the wood floors and clean color pallet…
Now to the food, I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Scramble: the eggs were soft and creamy (cooked just enough – NOT overcooked), the biscuit was light and fluffy (didn’t even need butter but I indulged anyway) the home fries are HUGE (crispy on the outside & tender in the middle) – so good! I also had a side of Canadian Bacon – I just HAD to – crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle – worth the indulgence! I can’t wait to go back and try more goodies from the menu!
Our server Jaylee, was super friendly and personable and recommended the Carrot Cake. My wife hates raisins, and this had raisins in it. Jaylee was able to effectively put my wife at ease and explained that you won’t even notice that the raisins were there.
Jaylee also recommended some other places along the way for food and coffee. Having a server that is knowledgeable about the area and can make solid recommendations for those tourists looking for something off the beaten path, is truly amazing and very appreciated.
The drinks arrived quickly; the Bourbon Black was sweet and punchy, while the Mezcal Margarita was strong and smoky. Family-style sharing is our go-to, and the generous portions here make that easy. My wife and I shared the 10 oz. Certified Angus Skirt Steak & Eggs, which was served with a flavorful chimichurri. We added several à la carte sides, including the thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, French fries, and the avocado with olive oil and sea salt.
The kids’ meals were an absolute highlight. The VDay pancakes were delicious, topped with raspberry jam, buttercream, chocolate chips, and fresh raspberries. My son also loved the Nutella waffle, which came with sweet strawberries and vanilla mascarpone.
Just a heads-up: it’s worth making earlier reservations if you can, as popular menu items like the short ribs (and even bananas) tend to run out later in the day.
We finished the meal with a plentiful slice of carrot cake that easily satisfied all four of us, along with a double espresso and a cappuccino.
We left happy and well-served, hearing a thoughtful “thank you! enjoy the rest of your weekend” at least three times on the way out.
We can’t wait to visit again to try other menu delights.
