We enjoyed all the food we had here. Fish and chips was good, we liked the batter. The clam chowder had huge clams and lots of potatoes. Our dinner came out pretty quick, but right before we got our food we decided to order a fried cheesecake for dessert… as we wanted it to be hot still when we ate it. It took 45 minutes for our cheesecake to be made. We were well beyond ready to go by then, and had to go up and ask about it. It was a busy night as it’s a holiday, but 45 minutes for 1 fried item seems insane, and definitely diminished our experience overall. I will say, that cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Needs a sauce but wow so good.

Sea Pal Cove is legendary, and for once the hype is 100% deserved. Best fish and chips in the area, no question. Their beer batter absolutely crushes the panko-style places (no shade to panko, but beer batter is the correct answer here). The fish is perfectly crispy, not greasy, and somehow stays crunchy the whole time instead of turning into sad soggy fish halfway through.
Same story with the fries: crispy forever. Like… how.
The setting is also a big part of the magic. All outdoor seating, looking out at the harbor and watching boats coming and going. Top-tier coastal vibes. Prices are totally reasonable, beer menu is legit, and the food is excellent every single time.
If you’re in Fort Bragg and you skip this place, I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.

Really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is authentic, the food is excellent at a more than reasonable price. The clam chowder in the bread bowl was amazing. Everything fresh and homemade. The bowl was so good, the chowder had whole clams, chunks of potatoes, very rustic and delicious. We had fishing boats passing by 25 feet from our table. There was live music, a nice fire and heat lamps on the deck. Great place!

It’s outdoor seating, so i could bring my dog. He really appreciate it. The food is MASSIVE. I got the clan chowder and fish n chips. The chowder was basically a bowl of clams with some veggies. Big fat whole clams! It was amazing.
Prices are fair and the food excellent. The waiter went out of way to accommodate my very picky beer preferences.

Very old redwood built house from the beginning of the 20th century. A comfortable place to stay. A big garden to sit in, good and safe place to park is available on the property. Great locations. We were welcomed by Edward who was friendly, informative and cooked us a lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs with veg and cheese. The place had a homely feel to it and we enjoyed our stay here very much.

You must try the cioppino! The succulent jumbo prawns are simmered in a perfectly balanced tomatoes herbs and fish broth. Then break all the rules and have fried cheese cake! A first for us. Delicious danish cheese taste with crunch. And don’t forget to ask the delightfully cheery staff which beer would be best with your meal. We shared a Porter by Anderson valley with our fried cheese cake. It was perfect! (I’m pretty sure this Porter has coffee in it. It had a nice after meal buzz about it)

I came here soley for the fish & chips. It’s not usually my go to, but this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was so crispy and the fish was delicious. The clam chowder was also delicious.
Their outdoor seating is great. The views are beautiful and there’s a good chance you’ll see some seals.

I was in the mood for fish and chips and clam chowder. Went to Sea Pal Cove based on Google reviews. Fish and chips was so good. Lightly battered and nice and crispy, the way it’s supposed to be! The Clam chowder had nice good size pieces of clam not little bits. So delicious! Thank you Sea Pal Cove! Highly recommend!!!

Tasty, cozy, but could be cleaner
We arrived around 8 PM, and thankfully the place was still open and had a good crowd. It came highly recommended by both Google and ChatGPT, so we were excited to try it.
We ordered the Fish and Chips, and it was genuinely delicious! The fish was great, but the fries were unsalted and a bit dry — not the best I’ve had, but still fine.
The place is self-service, so tables weren’t very clean, and essentials like napkins, ketchup, and sauces were sometimes missing. A bit more attention to cleanliness would go a long way, especially during busy hours.
The atmosphere is lovely — right by the water, warm and welcoming interior, and a cozy, down-to-earth vibe. Not a luxury spot, but it feels homey and genuine.
Special thanks to the staff at the counter — they recommended a great local draft beer and even offered a small tasting before we ordered. That was a really nice touch.
Overall, I recommend this place! Tasty fish, good vibes, and a solid drink selection. Just a little extra care with cleanliness would make it even better.

Great food! I got a cheeseburger and fish because we came twice! Fries are great! Atmosphere is so peaceful and inviting. They play country music in the background, but not too loud. Everyone here is super nice! They have heaters too for outside.
