Uh of course like Brazilian food served with a lot of rice and beans, collard greens, garlic bread, potato salad. Everything is a la carte here.

This is a great addition to the Lafayette food scene. We shared the sampler platter, and its a great way to get to know the food here. The meats were all juicy and very good. The croquettes were excellent as well. Great atmosphere, and they fixed the place up nicely. Five stars. We’ll done!

Went on Friday night for dinner with a reservation. A few groups tried to walk in while we ate but were turned away because the dining area was maxed out, so I recommend getting a res for weekend dinner. It’s a pretty small and intimate dining room. I love that you can see the chefs preparing the food right behind the counter. The flank steak was perfectly grilled and marinated. The cod bacalao special was excellent. Can’t wait to have a nice glass of red wine to pair with my steam once they get alcohol license – currently BYOB til then.

Wonderful restaurant Downtown in Lafayette! I went once so far for lunch. The lunch menu is great, affordable but filling, and most importantly very authentic. The ingredients were well selected and the meet cooked perfectly. I have to try the rest, but I am looking forward to a great experience. And it is nice that one can bring your own wine, which definitively add value to the place!

Take out portions were so insanely small that I had to pray. Here are the rankings:
1) Picanha (8oz): Ordered medium well and got rare. VERY tender but lacked flavor. I should have weighed it because it didn’t spiritually feel like 8oz.
2) Croquettes de Picanha: Not sure how many per order you’re supposed to get, but we got 3. 3 of those guys…$10….it was very delicious, but the PRICE?
3) Coxinha: Also got 3 of these for $10. Again, tiny. Also, it was put in the same take out container as the Croquettes de Picanha. BUT! Was also delicious. The sauce was really good as well and saved me until it ran out.
4) Salsichão (with extra link): What is this. Be so fr rn. It tastes okay. Another victim of criminally small portion size.
5) Garlic Bread: Garlicky. Yum. Good size.
6) Black Beans: Better portion size. Tastes extremely bland. Could have been canned.
7) Potato Salad: Better portion size. Extremely bland.
8) Roasted Potatoes: it was. A single baby red potato. AHAHA. WHAT???

I feel like these issues could easily be fixed. 1) 6 croquettes for $10 is still steep but it isn’t unbearable the way 3 for $10 is. 2) I can only assume the staff hasn’t worked in food service before: do not package different food items together. That’s crazy. Yes, it is more wasteful. It is slightly less wasteful if you have bigger portions.

Overall, I’d WANT to go back for croquettes and coxinha, but I can’t financially justify it. Including a picture of the singular baby red. It really got me.

Worth it! The food was absolutely delicious. The picanha and fraldinha were my personal favorites. Do yourself a favor and try all three desserts. You won’t regret it!

This place is outstanding.
I’ve eaten Brazilian food all over the U.S. and in Brazil, and Santa Picanha beats them all.

The service is excellent, the music sets the perfect vibe, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s the kind of place you can bring the whole family and actually enjoy the experience from start to finish.

Highly recommend.

P.S. Don’t forget to order the brigadeiros for dessert

I really wanted to love this restaurant as I lived in Brazil for many years and wanted the amazing food that I had while I was there. Unfortunately the food didn’t hit the mark as it was very bland. The restaurant is very nice with a great atmosphere but the food didn’t measure up at the end.

Really authentic Brazilian churrasco. My family and I stopped on our way to Florida, and it reminded us of Brazil.

After hearing the hype, I was excited to pick up food for lunch and get to have all the flavors I’ve missed since I moved back to the us from Brazil.
I forgot to mention I am allergic to pork so when I got home I opened the box and saw sausage in the beans, I called and asked about my options and they were so amazing and told me they have a vegetarian bean option and even made me a new meal for free.
I wasn’t expecting that since it was my fault for forgetting to ask. That sweetness plus the amazing flavors that hit my tastebuds made this an 11 out of 10 for me!
Can’t wait to bring my family in to try it out with me next time! So many options on the menu I’m excited to try.

I got the lunch plate with beef, and the empanada special for Tuesdays and it was soooooooo flavorful and delicious!

I didn’t eat in but it was cozy and inviting when I went to pick up. When I went back to grab the remake they even met me at the door so I could be quick! Such amazing customer service!!
