The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. But tonight, I encountered something that challenged my very preconceptions of “disposable” cuisine.
The Presentation
It arrived not on fine bone china, but in the stark, humble geometry of a white plastic bowl. A white plastic fork—that most utilitarian of instruments—stood sentry amidst a tangled architecture of thick noodles. To the unrefined eye, it is merely “takeout.” To the soul, it is a midnight confession written in soy and steam.
The Experience
The noodles were lacquered in a deep, molten amber reduction, clinging to each strand with a desperate, delicious tenacity. There was a heavy comfort here—the kind of salt and umami that doesn’t just feed the stomach, but quietens the mind. It tasted of a sleeping city, of the privacy found only in the late hours, and of the honest labor of a kitchen that does not need a Michelin star to understand the meaning of satiety.

I’ve never received rude service, lady who takes my phone order is always very nice. The kid at the register in the evening is also very polite. Food is really good, always fresh tasting. Place is clean, but it’s not like I sit down to eat so there that’s why 3 for atmosphere. The only Chinese food I eat in the area. Would recommend!

I appreciate that my food arrived on time despite the rushed phone call, but I was disappointed that it didn’t meet the usual quality standards. I spent $36 plus a $5 tip, only to find that the ends of my egg rolls were harder than usual, the dumplings were chewy, and my rice contained large chunks of onions overpowering the meat. This experience has led me to decide not to return to this restaurant for a while, as I believe that for the amount I spent, I should have received a better meal.

I used to order from here ALL THE TIME until I called one day to ask about the combo specials and for it to be explained a little better. A woman answered and said hello yes. I said is this Chinese food? She says yes what do you want? I thought that was rude but over looked that because I was hungry. So I asked her to explain the menu specials, because I had the menu in front of me, and she got frustrated. She put the phone down and came back asking again what do you want? I was upset. I said well I need more info about your menu so I can tell you and she said well call me back when you know what you want. And actually hung up on me. I was appalled. So I called back and she answered the same as before. I said yes I just called, and she says I know who you are what you want?! I still made my order nonetheless and she got my order right and wrong. A simple chicken and white rice was turned into a chicken with fried rice and my daughter hates fried rice and that was her meal I had purchased for her. I actually was going to go to the restaurant and see who she was because her attitude SUCKED so bad If I want food I hesitate and deliberate for hours with my husband before we order. The guys are nice but the women there suck. They lack customer service skills. She shouldn’t answer their phones AT ALL. THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS BEHIND HER RUDE TAIL !! the food is pretty good for the most part though. But who wants to go thru ignorance to eat??!! Word of advice for them: FIRE HER TAIL!!
