So the next night I made reservations for six for my wife and I and my sisters and their husbands for dinner. We ordered three chopped salads, fish and chips and a fish sandwich. (Sorry no picture)
Everything was excellent.
Now I will say if you like Lake perch, it was some of the most perfectly done breaded and fried perch you’ll find…As for myself living on the West Coast, I prefer halibut or cod, but that’s just me.
If you’ve ever been to a supper club and you miss the old supper clubs of days gone by this is the place to go and get your fix.
We are greeted by two of the hosts, Adrian and Mark, who checked our reservation, and are quickly seated.
The walls of WOODS TAP & PINE LODGE are covered with framed, black and white photos of guests. There are hundreds.
Our party of four were seated at a comfortable, oversized booth. The meals arrived quickly. Best of all they were delivered as ordered.
In this meat paradise, my meal, gazpacho, a thick, spicy, vegetable soup (served cold) and a shredded brussel sprout salad, containing apples, apple chips, and walnuts, dressed with an Italian vinaigrette, is delicious.
The others at our table ordered a cheeseburger, a hot turkey sandwich, and a spinach and avocado salad. Each was oversized and according to my friends delicious. The freshly cut and fried potato chips accompanying the sandwiches, were enjoyed by all.
STUFF: Everything is ADA compliant. The bathrooms are comfortable and large. Lots of free parking.
Very nice waiter. Food came fast. And assortment of different foods.
I enjoyed my cosmo and how strong it was, my cousin agreed that her paloma was strong and authentic!
The bread was yummy and they kept it coming. We ordered chicken wings and I actually smiled at the first bite.. I was shocked with how meaty and crispy and flavorful they were!!! I would definitely go back for just drinks and wings.
Now we initially went there with prime rib in mind since that’s their Saturday special. We all LOVED, it was so delicious and we CLEARED our plates.
Finally, we had to get dessert. The key lime pie really is served ice cold! I don’t normally opt for a dessert like that, but it was so tart and the crust + whipped cream balanced that out perfectly. The gooey chocolate cake was a special of the night and it was like eating hot fudge. Delicious flavor but kinda messy.
Overall, the service, food, and vibes were perfect and I would definitely return!
We went with the deal they had for Restaurant Week. It was $60 per person and it included a glass of wine, beer (or a soft drink), soup, an entrée, and dessert.
We both had the French onion soup, which was phenomenal. Excellent flavor! My husband had the baby back ribs with barbecue sauce, and I chose the fish and chips. Everything was really good. The fries could have been better, they were a bit soggy, but the house made tartar sauce was incredible!!
For dessert, we had the chocolate layer cake and the key lime pie. Both were delicious!!
I can’t remember our server’s name, but he was extremely attentive and very friendly!
