SW Steakhouse was the splurge meal of our Las Vegas trip, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The space feels elegant and calm, tucked just off the casino, and even though we were seated a bit deeper inside, we still had a nice view out toward the Lake of Dreams show.
Service was polished but warm from the moment we sat down. Our server walked us through the menu, answered questions without any hint of rushing us, and paced everything perfectly so we could really enjoy each course.
Food-wise, it was outstanding. We started with cocktails (the espresso martini was excellent) and their warm house bread with whipped butter. The chilled Seafood Spectacular tower was a showstopper – king crab, lobster, shrimp, oysters, crab cocktail, scallop ceviche, the sauces, and dramatic “smoke” from the dry ice…just wow! For mains we shared steaks, including one of the Japanese Wagyu options, plus Brussels sprouts and truffle fries with a flight of dipping sauces. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and packed with flavor.
Dessert was another highlight. We shared the chocolate chip soufflé with sauce poured into the center at the table, and also tried the Rocky Road sundae where a chocolate dome melts under hot fudge. Both were rich, over-the-top, and perfect for sharing.
Yes, prices are high, but portions are generous and very easy to split, which helped make the experience feel more reasonable for a special occasion. Overall, SW Steakhouse delivered on food, service, and atmosphere. If you’re looking for one memorable “treat yourself” dinner in Vegas, this is a fantastic choice.

What an incredible meal supported with amazing service. We were greeted by Daniel and his management staff and Nicholas took exceptional care with his colleagues. We had the lobster gnocchi which was incredible. There was a special Snake River strip and we also had the 45 day aged bone in NY. Best steaks I’ve ever had. Cooked PERFECT. Then the bananas foster had layers of incredible flavor. I cannot recommend SW enough for great food, excellent atmosphere and amazing service

SW steakhouse was a really cool experience. The most notable, and perhaps most popular, aspect of this restaurant is the lake of dreams show that plays every 30 minutes during dinner. The show uses a combination of lights, holograms, and animatronics which are choreographed to different songs throughout the night. The service was friendly but they were definitely more attentive to certain tables. Likely a little profiling going on to try and maximize tips. Food was good but not amazing. As you would expect, the prices are on the higher side for what you get but this is to be expected when dining at an upscale restaurant on the strip and was comparable to most other restaurants of the same level here. Overall good experience but not sure I’d go back.

Bring your tastebuds and hopefully your winnings from the casino. Enjoy your meal and the show out the window which is pretty much viewable from 3/4 of the seats indoors. Some kids get up and walk to the the window so be aware of that if you’ll be bothered.

Started with: Beef Carpaccio, Crispy Lobster Zucchini Blossoms, and a dozen Oysters.

Salad: Both the wedge and the Caesar so we could taste both.

Main Dish: American Wagyu New York Strip, Pepper Crusted Chateaubriand (for 2), and Short Rib Ravioli (appetizer upsized to be an entree). Mashed potatoes and Sauteed Baby Broccolini.

Dessert: An amazing pineapple upside down cake and Banana’s Fosters Cheesecake with the tableside flambee.

Drinks: Sazerac and Luxe (Lychee Martini) with Meal we had a Cab Franc and a Sauterne with Dessert.

Really enjoyed the meal, but we were very full. Next Time one less appetizer, one less dessert, maybe no salad. This would have also helped the bottom line.

Its relatively quiet in the restaurant, prepare to dress well, but not quite suits.

SW Steakhouse is a great spot with a beautiful setting and upscale atmosphere. We ordered the ribeye, and while it was good overall, it didn’t quite live up to the expectations I had.
The flavor was solid, but the meat wasn’t as tender as I expected for a steakhouse at this level. It’s definitely enjoyable for a one-time experience, but I’ve had noticeably better steaks at other places.
Still, the ambiance and service make it worth trying, especially if you’re staying at the Wynn, just not a place I’d go back to specifically for the steak.

Great ambience and decent food.
We had a family dinner, and were seated at the balcony which was great to see the show.
The food was overall good. The filet mignon came out a bit dry and over cooked.
The banana cheesecake came with a show which was pretty fun to watch

SW is everything you want in a premier steakhouse. Wonderfully classy with a perfectly balanced dinner menu. It was our anniversary, so we reserved dinner at 5:30 pm. We were promptly seated and greeted by our waiter, Anthony, who immediately congratulated us and was very personable. We started with oysters and bread both of which were delicious. We ordered a bottle of 2010 French Red wine, a suggestion from the also wonderful Matt, our sommelier for the night, to pair with our steak dinner. The ribeye was phenomenal, and my wife had the Filet. There’s icing on top, and it’s a show every 30 minutes right on the Lake of Dreams. Order an outside table for the best seating. It can get cold in the winter, so come prepared if you sit outside.

SW Steakhouse delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Las Vegas. The moment we sat down, everything felt refined and elevated — from the atmosphere to the impeccable service. We ordered a selection of seafood to start, and it was outstanding. The presentation alone was impressive, and the quality of the lobster, shrimp, oysters, and crab was simply top-tier — fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavour. It honestly felt like a luxury seafood feast before the steaks even arrived.
The main courses lived fully up to the reputation of SW: rich, perfectly cooked, and beautifully served. Every plate looked spectacular, and the entire table experience felt both indulgent and memorable.
If you’re looking for a place in Vegas that combines world-class food, flawless service, and an atmosphere that makes the whole evening feel special, SW Steakhouse is the perfect choice. Absolutely worth a visit – highly recommended.

Fantastic overall experience, the food was incredible, steak perfectly executed, pull apart bread was delicious and a break from standard steak house, the sides and appetizers were all fantastic as well especially the zucchini blossoms and short rib ravioli. The service was what truly shined, we never felt rushed, we’re always attended to, and pre drops were sharp. Definitely a Vegas go to!

Pro tip: order the bananas foster cheesecake, you’re welcome.

Edit – Updating my review to mention that I emailed as requested, but haven’t heard back yet.

We were really looking forward to dining at SW Steakhouse, especially for the view. We clearly requested a table with a view when making the reservation, but we were seated all the way at the end with no view at all, which was very disappointing given this was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant.

At the time of booking, the restaurant offered a vegan option, which mattered to us. However, when we arrived, we were told the vegan menu is no longer available. Our server, Ryan, mentioned “it’s a steakhouse,” and the tone came across quite dismissive. He was not supportive at all in helping us find a good alternative. He suggested sautéed vegetables and pasta — the sautéed vegetables were unfortunately really bad and the pasta was quite bland. For a fine-dining restaurant, we expected much better quality and accommodation.

On a positive note, Ryan’s assistant was very professional, down-to-earth, and genuinely tried to help, which we appreciated.

Overall, the service and food did not match the fine-dining experience SW Steakhouse is known for, and considering the price point and experience, we wouldn’t return.
