First time here. We were looking for a steak with a Mexican twist and found this place. Very interesting and unique menu. Fantastic service ! (Evan was our bartender and server and she could NOT have been better!). Fun and lively atmosphere but you can still have a conversation. Got here early and it was slow But by 6pm it started filling up and they served a party of about 30 people for a birthday celebration and they definitely had a good time. Food and cocktails were great!

Such a great experience! The food was authentic, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. From the chips and salsa to the main dishes, everything was incredible. The service was outstanding—friendly, fast, and welcoming. I can’t wait to come back again. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great experience at Copal on a quiet evening. The ambiance attracted us from Broadway with the cute light decorations calling out at the traffic passing by. Sat down for some delicious spicy shrimp appetizers that my wife couldn’t get enough of (chupate los dedos). Excellent, friendly service, and some flautas bañadas that were crispy, delicious, and filling. The side of rajas was divine. Barrio beer on tap, great atmosphere, we will definitely be back. Couldn’t get enough of the Cilantro Habanero salsa, not spicy at all, but packed with a creamy lime flavor that was unbelievably succulent.

I visited Copal for dinner and overall had a solid experience. The food was good..everything felt well-made with plenty of vegetarian options that packed some deep, satisfying flavors. That said, it could’ve been about 10% less salty to really hit the spot. It wasn’t the most mind-blowing meal I’ve ever had, but there were unique flavor combinations that are worth trying and you shouldn’t miss if you’re in the mood for contemporary Mexican cuisine. Service was top-notch, and the atmosphere added to the vibe.

Awesome place! They have authentic flavorful mexican food, fresh ingredients. The service was prompt and very friendly. The atmosphere is very relax and good ambiance music. I’m guessing it could get loud because they have a bar but when I was there it was fairly quiet, good to have a conversation with friends. All in all, we had a great time, food was excellent and the service was very friendly. Amazing place, I recommend

I went here on a Friday afternoon with friends. I got the lavender fizz mocktail which was delicious and attractive, then the enfrijoladas entree with a side salad. The side salad was perfect for my tastes, with a base of arugula, some sort of vinaigrette dressing, crumbly cheese, corn, and diced tomatoes. Frankly, I ate that whole thing before starting on my entree and kind of wished that I had just got a big side salad. But then I ate the enfrijoladas entree and was just as happy. The chorizo on top gave the corn tortillas filled with queso fresco a lovely crunch, and the pickled onions cut through the richness.

The service was stellar. We were there pretty early so it wasn’t crowded, but even so our party was really a service nightmare, with people coming and going all on separate checks (happy hour work group). But they still accommodated us, letting us move tables around on the patio and setting us up with a special ordering system at a certain location at the bar, which worked great. And even with that system set up they came to check on us on the patio and bring us water. Everyone was super friendly and the food and drinks were fast.

The patio we were on was lovely, with a solid roof and a large mesh shade for the western wall that let in the sun but cut it in half. And although we didn’t use them, I saw child size chairs stacked and a large yard-sized connect-4 game out there.

I will definitely be going back with family; I really want to try the other things on the menu.

This was our first time at Copal. From being seated and served we felt taken care of. Every bite was full of flavor and those house made chicharrones and guacamole were so good. I had the quesobirria tacos and they were so good and full of tasty meat and cheese. I tried the flight of margaritas to try different flavors and they were wonderfully balanced and delicious. Especially the Strawberry one. The environment was fun and food was fantastic. Will be back to try more things!

A quaint little mid range – high end restaurant. Lighting in and out of the building was fun with candy skull neon designs and strands of twinkle lights completely surrounding the Patio!

Our server, Paris, was attentive, prompt, kind, funny, and even went as far as ensuring the presentation of our meal was immaculate. She definitely won us over with her charm and we are excited to consider this restauraunt a new regular place to treat ourselves.

The appetizers are where it is at! I Tried the Fundido cheese dip with pork belly. It came with flour or corn tortillas, guacamole, and Pico De Gallo that was fresh as all get out. Pork belly was cooked to perfection! Elote ribs are fun, delicious, and have great texture! The spice is real on those puppies.

Main courses: we had mexican pizza (Pizza Norteña), Enchilada with Birria and red sauce, and Octopus tacos, one of the chefs specials of the night. All was delicious and flavorful and most importantly fresh!

Thank you Paris for such a rewarding experience. We look forward to patroning this establishment again in the future!

If I were to summarize I’d have to say Copal is simply… Spectacular. It would be hard to go more than a block in this town without finding some sort of Mexican restaurant but Copal has shown that attention to detail and quality over quantity is what really matters with any culinary experience. When you enter it’s like you’ve stepped through a portal and into a vibrant Vegas casino. The ambiance, decor, food, and excellent service, all come together to show how much care and pride, this restaurant boasts. When I visited for the first time, there was an event being hosted here and the group was very large and quite a lively and demanding bunch. Even so, every single staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and made my friends and myself feel very well taken care of and the food definitely arrived faster than expected. I will certainly be back again to try more of their menu items but everyone in my small group agreed that they haven’t had such an incredible experience at a Mexican restaurant in a very long time.
