I used to love Baby’s Cheesesteak & Lemonade, but after my most recent visit, I honestly don’t know what happened to this place.
I ordered a crispy Philly cheesesteak, and what I got was the complete opposite. The sandwich was soggy, mushy, and falling apart — more like baby food than an actual cheesesteak. There was zero crisp, zero texture, and zero care put into it. The bread was soaked, the meat was soft and lifeless, and the whole thing felt like it had been sitting around instead of being made fresh.
I understand the name is “Baby’s,” but that doesn’t mean the food should have the consistency of something served out of a jar. This was genuinely disappointing, especially because I’ve been coming here for years and remember when the quality was much better.
What makes it worse is their refund policy — or lack of one. If your food is bad, you’re stuck with it. No refund, no accountability. So ordering here now feels like a gamble where you risk paying full price for something that isn’t even edible.
The quality has clearly gone downhill, and it’s frustrating to see a place that used to be reliable fall off like this. I even took pictures because I couldn’t believe how bad it was.
I won’t be coming back unless something seriously changes. There are too many other places that actually care about the quality of the food they serve.

Just went and bought a three-piece catfish and chicken combo ask for to be fried heart. The fish was soft wasn’t even fried hard. I asked for salt and pepper on it. Get it back and it has lemon pepper on it. The chicken taste old like it’s been sitting out for a while. I’m very disappointed, especially for the price that I paid.

My first time here! Drive thru is pretty quick and the menu is big. I was surprised at how thick the burger bun is, seems high quality. Burger itself was delicious!! So happy you guys give a good amount of fries, crispy and not soggy at all. Overall, tasty food for a great price. Would recommend to anyone local! I want to come back and try out many new things

Was on hold for 13 minutes until I got to the restaurant just to order when I got there. Understand that business could be busy but for 13 minutes is not good for business and could have lost my service. Need to have someone dedicated for calls and ringing customers out when necessary during busy hours. Thanks.

Woman at the front desk has good customer service. But food is awful and they won’t remake anything and claim to fix it ex if they forgot cheese by giving you a cold piece of cheese and telling you it’s going to melt

Update came in today the guy at the register wanted to be greedy wanting me to pay for sauce on my fries it’s apart of the meal right so sauce should be put on the chicken and fries free of charge why am I paying for sauce to be added to my fries is insane! Oh the black lady that work there has great customer service! The guys there are not that great with customer service

Typically, when going to a late night, fast food restaurant cleanliness is not the normal thing that ONE would see however, the moment I arrived in this place, everyone was nice. The food is incredible and they didn’t mind taking care of me the moment I walked through the door even though they were ready to close…. it was not exactly 12 o’clock and they made good on helping me out and letting me order my food. I’m very thankful. By the way, the food looks amazing and tastes great!!!! 5 stars on service FOOD and CLEANLINESS

Anytime I travel to Illinois, I always stop here and get the cheesesteak and a slice of their cheese pizza. Very delicious. Both fries and onions rings are good too.

Food is great when hot and freshly made. Baby’s has changed owners over the years. Menu is the same. I get the same item all the time; so far no mistakes. Like that they are open til midnight. I can grab my favorite meal sometimes after work. Just lower my favorite in price.
