Shouldn’t be in business…Food had horrible flavor. The meat looked like it sat out all day uncovered. Extremely disappointed! I’m reporting to the health department that’s how bad.

I am temporarily staying in Walden, NY for a travel nurse contract and I am from the south. I saw this restaurant and decided I needed a taste from home. The fried okra was the best out of our whole order! I see the other reviews and they’re pretty rough. No it’s not the best ever southern food but let me tell you it’s definitely not as bad as it’s made out to be. I’d order from them again for sure. Recommend the okra and chicken sandwich 100%! The prices are very reasonable and they delivered exceptionally fast. They were very friendly as well. I enjoyed it!

Ordered chicken, corn, Mac & cheese and potato salad. TERRIBLE!!! Nice staff but long wait! Placed my order at 7:50pm I didn’t receive my food until 9:40pm. No matter how big or small your order is almost 2 hrs is completely crazy! They had all my bags tied already so I wasn’t able to inspect the sides like I wanted too. The Mac & cheese had no cheese just oil and a processed version of cheese. The potato salad should have been called egg salad. It was over seasoned, mushy, and tasted awful. The gave us cornbread with our meal and it was hard as hell. Definitely made a while ago and they didn’t want to toss. The corn had to have been boiled in dirty water or something because it had a funny smell. The chicken…was the ONLY DECENT thing there and that wasn’t even that good. The was fried well however skin was seasoned with salt. The actual meat was bland and o was so surprised considering the salty skin. I really wanted to try this place and it really disappointed me. Will not be buying again. Was not worth the $75 bucks!

Just delicious. Southern food with a West Indies influence. Had the curry chicken. Four perfectly cooked drumsticks in gravy. I like my drumsticks firm and well done and these were amazing. Kind of like duck confit. Side of coleslaw was outstanding as were the AWESOME COLLARD GREENS that had a bit of a kick. Tender but not mushy and fantastic. Cornbread was outstanding.
I asked to try the brisket before I ordered and was glad I did. Didn’t like that much. It was gristly and not tender, wasn’t crazy about the flavor of it either. Was very happy with the curry chicken. Would have tried the Jerk Chicken but they were sold out. Will definitely be back. I would have added pictures but when I got home my son and I ate everything so fast there was nothing left by the time I thought of it.

HORRIBLE…dry chicken, French fries taste coated in corn starch, and fried to a burnt crisp… ordered a large order and I literally counted 20 of them, mashed potatoes take like thickened water. Barely any meat on the ribs and when I did take a nice bite the bone turned gritty and ashy and went with my bite of ribs. Instantly spit it out and did not go back for more. So disappointing and just a complete put off, dinner ruined. We turned to burger King and they delivered on deliciousness as always. Do not order from here. I will never ever ever be going back and will make sure everybody I know avoids it at all cost.

Definitely not worth the wait. Nearly 2 hours for a delivery. The bun was burnt and rock hard but the burger was decent. I did ask for no onions and peppers, but guess that was too much to ask for. Seems like I could’ve received a free drink for the wait.

What can I say? Stopped in for a bite on my way to thruway for some fishing equipment. Food was dry and taste was worse than some places I’ve eaten at in south Bronx. There are other options in the area and even better off with a diner. Don’t waste your money. I kinda mentioned something to them politely and they just didn’t care.

Unsanitary, Would recommend that the health dept should take a look. All “meals” are microwaved to the customers. Unsafe storing of meat. I’ve seen trays of meat left out for HOURS. And then also put in the microwave to serve. Food is not served fresh especially not the chicken, Or the cornbread. I would NOT recommend anyone to eat here.

Hands down the worst bbq ive ever had..gave them 3 chances. First was the brisket..what a piece of shoe leather, 2nd the pulled pork..litterally chopped up pieces of pork and dry as a bone, 3rd time was meatloaf..sandpaper taste better..fries are gross, rice undercooked, cornbread taste like sheet rock..sorry for the negative review but i feel ripped off..wondering if these guys know how to cook or if its just a scam.. good luck i wont be back

The fried chicken was spoiled and left and unpleasant order in the house.. Straight in the garbage and out to the curb! BBQ was dry and disappointing.
